We (two families) stayed in this resort from 4-7 May 2024. This is an excellent resort for Families with a wonderful ambience and a good quality vegetarian Food (didn't try Non-Veg) that's so homely. In Kodaikanal finding a vegetarian restaurant (Buffet) with such quality is next to impossible. Chef Azees and Alucious were so friendly and prepared good food for us. Rajendran was helping us with room service & Housekeeping and was prompt in responding.
Mr. Arulprakash, GM of the resort who is so Humane with his approach made our stay comfortable making us feel being in a home away from home.
This resort is there in Kodaikanal since 1947 located @3km from the Lake. Rooms are in contemporary british style decently renovated. Indoor & outdoor games are available. Ample space for walking too. We enjoyed a lot. Parking space is more than enough and one can forget about finding a nice & safe spot.
Opportunities for improvement are Cleanliness of wash rooms a bit more & having filtration for bathing water as sometimes its not that clear.
Overall the stay was good and worth the money spent.

Excellent hotel. My Thoothukkudi thanpadu uppu eattrumathi viyaparigal sangam with 170 members with family and I had the most comfortable stay. Friendly staff with delicious food made at big difference. GM Mr. Arul Prakash was outstanding and always helpful. We have seen some wild animals like Indian Gaur (Bison) and peacocks. Most of the rooms are having the excellent view over stream. This hotel has the spacious parking facility for our cars. Thanks to everyone who are Front Office. In the rooms, they have purified water and kettle for boiling water. In the bathroom, they have geyser. Thanks for your hospitality through out our stay.

It was an unplanned trip from Pondicherry to Kodaikanal and we booked this property without even reading reviews. It was a family trip of 4 and we had no idea of where we are heading up. Just when we entered the property it was a all new world, Really the landscapes were eye-catching and the rooms are neatly placed. Mr. Siva at the reception greeted us and helped us through the check-in procedures. Our room was by the side of a stream which was running though the entire property.
Property: The property itself is well maintained and breathtaking. Every part of Kodaikanal is accessible from here. The Place itself is serene and a best place for those who want to be away from busy roads. It has a variety of cottages to choose with an inhouse restaurant and party hall. If you are lucky then we can enjoy the campfire which keeps up cozy in the chill weather. There is a separate fun zone for kids and to play indoor games. If you are lucky you can spot some bison's & peacocks in the early mornings.
Rooms: The Room is well maintained and furnished where basic amenities were all available. You can enjoy the tranquility all day if you want to relieve your stress. Getting signal in your mobile would be difficult is some places so do keep that in mind. There is no WIFI so plan accordingly as internet speeds are very slow.
Restaurant: Complimentary breakfast and Dinner is within the package. Lunch is optional as most of us would leave for site seeing. Food was excellent and homely, a mix and match of north and south indian dishes. Chefs and caters were very friendly and helpful.
Do checkout the Nursery with variety of exotic plants which are exclusive for that climate.
Overall Holiday Home resort is an Excellent Place to plan your retreat from reality and it will never deceive your expectations. Special thanks to Mr. Priyan , Mr. Siva and his entire team who made our stay bliss and delightful.

Probably one of the best resort I have every stayed in entire western ghats I would say. Such is the vibe of the resort which is very closely dwelled along with nature. The stream which passes in front of your room makes it the best therapy. The resort is geographically located at a great place with lush greenery and vast area connecting mountain ranges and forest. The recreational activities and outdoor amenities for kids were excellent and well maintained. The rooms are kind of old fashioned in heritage British architectural style which adds extra beauty to the exquisite location. The best part of my stay is breakfast and dinner buffet with live counters. The staffs are friendly and manager Arul was a courteous person who ensured timely food and offered one of the cozy stay in Kodaikanal😍. This place would be my go forward stay option in my upcoming visits to Kodai.

We have been staying at Holiday Home for the past 40yrs....It is purely a Home away from Home...Now they make many renovations, which looks far better...but they removed the red colour coir mat in every cottage that prevents chillness into our foot that creates Cramps....Hence,we suggest to spread the courier mat inside the room ad Veranda.... Toilets looks very safe where SS handles are fixed.... Regarding dinner, Regularly provide Moong Dhall Sambar daily....If fixed tour gets cancelled,, Refund procedures r very Hard....

We had a memorable, excellent and nostalgic 2-days British style cottage stay for 100+ old Students Mac Batch Reunion from KVS Sulakkarai school on 26&27-Nov-22 at Holiday Home. GM Mr. Arul Prakash was outstanding and took care of all arrangements with partner Priyank & manager Shiv. He ensured all preparations were done meticulously.
The pristine ambience, clean rooms, hospitality of Arul and the staff and delicious & hygienic food were excellent for young and the elderly crowd. Most rooms had wonderful sights and sounds of a stream. Had copious space for outdoor & indoor group photos, games.
The meeting hall was superb that could hold 150 participants with all audio & video amenities. We had a soothing campfire in the valley on both days. In all, it took us back to nostalgic 1980's with your seniors, batchmates and juniors.
Arul and staff are very friendly, professional, conscientious and charged only what was appropriate and our actuals were less than the estimates. They provided different food and room options for the organizing batch for previous day. Service in reception, rooms & restaurant was terrific from all staff.
All in all, all 100+ guests were extremely delighted with the spacious rooms, location, amenities, delicious food. And all these made the reunion a huge success.

It was an excellent stay. Resort is away from the hustle bustle of market which gave us perfect opportunity to enjoy peaceful stay. There is small river/stream of water flowing right through the resort and best part is many rooms are facing the same. it feels satisfying to witness the flow of river. Rooms are like cottages with all amenities like wifi, tv. Hot/cold water etc all this helps in ensuring seamless experience. It gives a heritage feel. Children play area is perfectly placed and gives good enough options for families and kids to enjoy right on top lush green natural landscape. The entire feel like a beautiful dream. I must thank Mr. Arul for personally taking care of us, always available for help in times of need. Holiday Home resort is a must stay for families looking to take memorable holiday.

Nestled among Kodaikanal hills, in a slight dip, Holiday Home resort is a splendid place to relax, with clouds frequently gliding through this resort. We spent a memorable week at this resort. The area is lush with greenery, with a clean stream that flows through it. Several traditional cottages and rooms are available with modern amenities inside. Just being in the resort, inside the rooms itself is a great way to relax!
For those who prefer outdoors, a stroll within the resort brings up lots of interesting places to explore, with even a rope bridge that crosses the stream. Peacocks roam around freely and can be sighted sometimes. Indoor games and outdoor games are available. Food is top notch, so no need to worry about going out to hunt for the right place to eat. They have a garden and nursery inside itself (must visit for hobby gardeners). A camp fire is made every night, with night sounds all around, while will definitely remain in memory for a long time. There are couple of chocolate factory cum shops right opposite the resort. For those who prefer to walk instead of going around in a vehicle, several sightseeing places are accessible by walk.
Romantic getaways, family time, big extended family get-togethers, retreat for a small group: all are possible at this place.
The resort manager Mr Arul Prakash was constantly on his toes ensuring every single guest was taken care. The overall hospitality and politeness of the staff was exceptional! We made a last minute plan to travel to Kodai and though the resort was heavily booked, Mr Arul went out of his way to find the right room and check-in time suitable for our needs. I highly recommend that those travelling to Kodai spend at least a week at this resort (off-season and weekdays, if possible, as this resort is booked fully most of the time).

Excellent hotel. My friends and I had the most comfortable stay post Covid pandemic. Friendly staff with delicious food made at big difference. GM Mr. Arul Prakash was outstanding and always helpful. You wouldn’t need any extra bed. There is a foldable bed (serves as a sofa) that can serve the purpose. Do let the property know beforehand so they can make necessary arrangements.
