We spent one here while travelling through Rajasthan and found this place while researching online. It is very homely, especially when you sit down to eat with the other guests and can chat with the family and staff while they are cooking. Our driver had a little trouble finding the haveli as it is near Chittorgarh Fort in a village,...

Rooms are quite nice, comfortable, and very interesting - all restored and refurbished. The bathrooms are large and quite nice too. But one of the unexpected surprises was the dinner we had (included in the price!) We've been disappointed with the included meals with our rooms so many times that we didn't have high hopes... but this was easily one...

My room was small, but nicely appointed with colorful fabrics, pillows and curtains and bedspreads. And very cozy! The bathroom was all stone and you entered the bathroom from the patio before you got to the bedroom, but no matter. Lovely courtyard with tables where the meals were served - very good vegetarian food! Lovely, relaxed place with a lovely,...

We met Parvati at the fort on a fine March day and she proceeded to give us an informative and interesting morning tour. She is a gifted well trained guide with excellent knowledge of her subject and brought the long history of the Fort to life in an easy to understand manner. After our tour, Parvati took us to her...

Very nice family run b&b set on the hilltop within the Chittorgarh fort area. Clean and neat, with excellent views of the city of Chittogarh from the roof top. Owner and wife are both licensed tour guides and can give you all the details of the area, history, and suggest other places to visit. Service is very casual but friendly,...

Top marks for location, ambience, food, sleeping accommodation, tour guidance. However, Paro and Sudhir have room for improvement in the following areas - 1. Providing guests detailed directions as the exact location of their home 2. Being on hand to welcome guests 3. Loved the idea of using solar to heat water - only if the process works! They kept...

If -you are traveling in a group (even more than 2); -you are not in a tearing hurry to 'touch' the sites in one day; -you want to see some details of the 'fantastic' old architecture and craftsmanship which has not been publicized; Padmini Haveli can be an ideal place. The hosts are TOO GOOD to explain/praise. Virendra Gupta (stayed...

Our room was charming, beautifully decorated and a wonderful bathroom. We felt like part of the family, Sudhir took us for a walk around the village and we met lots of locals (he knew everyone). We had a meal prepared by the family cook which was delicious and plenty. They could not be more helpful and informative. Sudhir and his...

I stayed at The Padmini Haveli in its early days, and on returning find that the charm is still as potent. The rooms are simple but exquisite, the food delicious and the coffee the best in Rajasthan. The hotel has added home made jams to their specialities - rose petal, sweet lime or pineapple. Delicious, I bought some to eat...

Our hosts at the Haveli were wonderful, very warm and welcoming and making us feel right at home. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and there was lots of spaces to sit outside and enjoy the surroundings. The hotel was very quiet and it was easy to go exploring the fort, which we did guided by our hosts. The...
