I stayed here for one night with a few friends. The establishment is unassuming from the outside, and when you first walk in through the doors it's really dark and it doesn't seem like your typical guesthouse/hotel entrance, although it is located on the little main street where all the major guesthouses are...but, dark as the interior is (I suppose to save electricity), Shivam is really quite charming inside. Our room was clean, with brightly-painted walls, a villa-esque window, a firm high rise bed, a chair, and a spacious bookshelf perfect for storing my bags and latest purchases. We arrived late in the evening and they were very kind with us. Our room was very nice, colored (yellow and green!) and clean, with a big bathroom (the biggest we had in our long travel around north of India). Breakfast and lunch was good (milkshake is wonderful!) The hotel is very close to the Bundi Palace (DON'T go to the fort!!! many money and quite nothing to see) and the city centre, so a good position. Definitly to recomend! The guest house has very helpfull owners. They have a restaurant, which is quite good. It is a very clean place, with the right relaxed atmosphere. It is probably the place to meet other backpackers in Bundi. It is a long walk from bus or train station, as it is situated just below the palace/fort - or just a little further from there.
