Raghu was really helpful and approachable, he made sure I had everything I could need whilst staying and went the extra mile. The blue door hostel is clean and overall has a nice, relaxed and casual ambiance. Cannot reccomend staying here enough - such good value for money !

I was recommended this place by a friend who said that it was his favourite homestay and I can see why! Raghu and is family are so welcoming and kind. They made me feel right at home and gave me amazing suggestions for what to do in Bundi. Every morning Raghu’s mother made the best breakfast that we all ate together and then I was giving a scooter to use for the day, which was the best way to see the city. I truly felt like a part of the family and will be back to Bundi just to visit them. Thank you so much for the wonderful stay!

I haven't stayed at The Blue Door but I had friends staying there a night and I went to see them for a dinner. The place is brand new, has a very good equipped kitchen, lovely apartment or door with a very cool ambience and resting area. The rooms were clean and it had everything a backpacker needs. On top of that, the owner is top class and at the end of a delicious dinner, he took me for a ride to show me around and left me at my hostel, without question or pressure to sleep in his place. This is the only place you wanna be in Bundi!

This is an amazing hostel! Not only do you get a clean and nice dormitory, but also a big and well equipped kitchen together with a hangout area. Most importantly the owner Raghu is the nicest guy. He spent a whole day showing us around the city free of charges, invited us for breakfast with his family and made our trip to Bundi the best in every way.

Amazing place to stay in Bundi. Good dormitories, private room and even a full apartment if you wish! Hot shower,AC and bathroom in every room, perfectly clean every day, fully equipped kitchen and much more. Beside all that, the host Raghu is the nicest person you'll ever meet. When he have the time he will be happy to show you around the city, take you to all the hidden jems or to his own farm not far away to eat amazing guavas right of the trees. I only came for one night, but after meeting him couldn't go for more than a week... Thanks so much for everything Raghu!

Sans aucun doute, le meilleur logement dans lequel on a hébergé depuis 1 mois et demi en Inde. Rapport qualité prix imbattable. Et pour une fois les photos correspondent exactement au logement. A recommander les yeux fermés.

We had visited Bundi twice last year and fell in love with the place so this year, instead of moving from city to city spending half the time travelling, we were looking for an apartment to rent for four weeks. We are an elderly couple but still have plenty of energy so we planned to immerse ourselves in the local culture and use it as a base from where we could take day trips and short overnight visits to other towns and villages using buses and trains where possible. We have friend in Bundi who also happens to be an excellent guide and lives around the corner from The Blue Door, he found this place for us. The owner, Raghvendra, greeted us and showed us around the apartment. We walked into a large lounge with a dining table and conventional chairs but with single mattresses for siting and lounging, what a great idea! The kitchen is off the lounge and was fully equipped with 'fridge, four ring gas stove, toaster, cutlery, plates etc. and loads of cupboard space. This was ideal for us as we planned to shop in the local markets and cook as much of our own food as possible. The bedroom was roomy with a massive bed and very quiet air conditioning. Off the bedroom was a balcony with an airer that could be raised to dry washing on. (We also found an excellent laundry in the next street charging 20 rupees per item for wash and iron). The bathroom has everything you would expect with towels changed regularly. The bedding was also changed frequently and everywhere was very clean. The outside seating area was a good place to relax in the early morning and evening and to exchange conversation with the neighbours across the hallway. The location is perfect as it is quiet at the back where the rooms are located, yet it is only a short walk to the bustling vegetable and fruit markets. A provision store can be found almost next door selling all sorts from soap to soft drinks. Raghvendra and his lovely wife ensured that we had a delivery of filtered water every two days and milk from the farm. Nothing was too much trouble for the whole family, including Mum and Dad, in looking after us. Bundi may be seen as a backwater compared to some of the big cities but my word, what lovely people live there and in the surrounding area. The town itself has old and newer parts with many tourist type attractions in the fort, palace, step wells, temples and architecture. You will find many shops here but no-one will try to coax you into buying something you don't need. You will be made very welcome by everyone. We stayed for four weeks and it seemed like four hours. We were sad to leave but we will be back next year. Raghvendra is in the process of building and excellent restaurant on the roof of the hostel which will enhance the experience even more.
