We called in here for lunch which was buffet style and delicious. The service was attentive and everywhere was spotlessly clean. The restaurant was beautifully decorated with colourful marble inlaid walls and enormous chandeliers and the musicians playing outside added to the occasion. The surrounding areas belonging to the hotel were luxurious and the pool looked very tempting but we...

We had gone here during a Christmas weekend and with an objective of spotting some exotic bird species. The hotel is divided in 2 parts , i.e laxmi vilas and laxmi niwas. Laxmi vilas is the authentic fort converted to a hotel and niwas is the exact replica built next to it. We stayed in laxmi vilas were given a...

We spent the night here in the 130 year old original building which was unique and fun to see. The newer part is about 10 years old. There is a nice pool area. Spa services are available. The room was reasonably clean. The mattress was thin and laid across a wooden base of support (not real comfortable). The internet service...

This hotel has two palaces. The new one is 10 years old and still being extended at one end. We stayed in the old palace - more atmospheric. owned in the past by a maharaja - various photos of hunting parties and a family tree attest to that. A bit "faded grandeur" but we liked that. A good sense of...

We stayed in the new part with the most amazing room. It was a twin room with two four poster beds. The linen and furniture were of very high quality and tasteful design. The bathroom had lovely Indian tiles and a very large walk in shower with plenty of hot water and a rain head shower. There was no safe...

We stayed for one night in the old palace which contrasted to the recently completed new palace where we had our meals. The old palace has some way to go to catch up with the quality of the new but nevertheless was an interesting experience in the old style environment with questionable plumbing, electrics and in-house security with 3 external...

We stayed in the old part of the hotel and had a lovely lofty room which reminded us that we were in an original palace. We were in Rajasthan to celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary and immediately there was a knock on the door and a bottle of champagne arrived. We walked across lovely gardens to the newer part of...

We visited this amazing hotel during our recent tour of Indias Golden Triangle. Having left Agra, we were making our way to Jaipur and were told by our guide that we would be stopping at a hotel on the way, for lunch. Having passed through some very Third World looking villages, we turned off the main road and entered a...

We stayed in the old wing during Christmas 2016. The property is nice and well maintained. It is abt 15 min drive away from the Keoladeo National Park. Rooms are spacious and have the 'haveli' feel. The quality of food and the bar options however are very ordinary as are the overall service levels. Note: When we visited the road...
