Location – The guest house is located in one of the bye lanes off the Jaipur Agra highway and is about 10 minutes rickshaw ride from the star attraction of Bharatpur i.e Keoladeo National Park. Guest House – The guest house belongs to Mr. Devendra Singh and is managed by him alongwith his brother. Devendra who earlier has worked as guide and naturalist in various wildlife resorts. Devendra was all help in answering all our queries before the booking and providing advice. The guest house is small and the premises itself is neat and clean. It was surprising that he did not ask for an advance as the time of booking the room and just simply said if you are cancelling the visit then kindly inform in advance. The guest house has 6 rooms with attached toilets. The guest house is

This is the place to stay in Bharatpur, close to the Park...the owners are absolutely friendly and always have a yes to everything, you are helped with your birding too. The room comfort is Good...Food is like home made and fresh. Unfortunately couldn't meet Devendra Singh the owner as he was not in town, but his absence was more than made up by his brother. Take my word there are other fancy looking hotels in Bharatpur but this is the place to stay.

We arrived in Bharatpur after a long and hot train journey from Delhi and couldn't have asked for a better welcome than Iora. We caught a tuk tuk from the station and the driver knew where it was so I assume it's quite well known. We were greeted by the proprietor Devandra (who paid for my tuk tuk as I didn't have change on me). It's a beautiful little guest house about 15 minutes from Keoladeo bird sanctuary and feels more like a homestay than a guest house. There's a library of wildlife, photography and nature books and a little courtyard with a lovely well kept garden. The kitchen serves awesome home cooked meals at a reasonable price in the clean and airy dining room (the thali and aloo gobi were delicious) and the rooms are comfy, roomy and clean. WiFi, hot and cold showers

After fumbling all pros & cons of hotels and guest houses in Bharatpur through TripAdvisor, we chose Iora guest house for our stay. And after the first interaction, we found that it was a successful choice. Owner Devendra is a very soft spoken person. He is always looking after the needs of the boarders. Rooms are not having modern furniture and gadgets, but all those get diluted because of its smell of homely fervour. Rooms are specious, and neat and clean. Food served in the restaurant is very tasty and also reasonable. One major attraction of Iora is the collection of books on birds.

Birding friendly, small , simple and clean place. Owner is photographer and birding enthusiast. Group of friends visited this place. We reached very late and went out early morning. Received packed breakfast and lunch in the park. Very accommodating.. will recommend.
