It was my first booking with OYO for personal trip at Bharatpur. Hotel was just walking distance from Keoladeo National Park. Great stay with all the amenities. Room was really very neat & clean except leakage of water from washroom toilet flush. Staff's behavior were really appreciable.
Morning Requested the Hotel for a Late Check-out of about an hour as we would arrive late from the National Park. They said Yes. And to the horror, they charged 30% late fee while clearing the BILL saying its OYO policy. Looks like OYO rooms never fail to Disappoint you.
Location good very near to bird sanctuary. But as under renovation no phone line, no hot water, no kettle tea etc. Services very delayed.Had booked via OYO at discounted rates with breakfast, but for such customers only one of three r choice in breakfast- poha/ aloo paratha/ bread toast. Owner was kind enough to look into everything but probably unable to handle his staff to properly get work done in the hotel.
We stayed there late Feb '18, on our second visit to Bharatpur. Since our only purpose of travel to Bharatpur, was to visit the Park, we decided to stay as close to the Park. We did get a good price for a AC Deluxe room when we contacted the hotel directly. On arrival, we decided to take the AC Super Deluxe Room instead because it had an additional balcony, flat-screen TV, etc. The Hotel is within walking distance of the Park and there ends its advantages. Only the Front Lobby looks swanky, rooms are mediocre (except the suite room, which is also expensive). The Hotel is surrounded by marriage halls and if happens to be one of those auspicious days, there would be half-a-dozen marriages, all blaring out jarring music through the night ! Infact, we did not have a wink of sleep the first two nights ! WiFi in the room was so weak, that I always had to use my 4G all the time ! Infact, I was even given a wrong password the first time and had to ask for it again ! Food rates are exorbitant and right through our four day stay there, we just walked to a restaurant across the road, which was much more reasonably priced ! We wanted to be at the Park as soon as the gates opened (6.30, in winters), but to our dismay, the Main Door was closed and the gate of the hotel was locked ! There was no one at the Front Desk and there was no staff anywhere in the Hotel. After a lot of running around, we realised that some staff were sleeping in the restaurant. When I brought this to the attention of the Manager, he informed me that I should have informed them the previous day ! The rooms were not cleaned when we got back from the Park in the evening and again when brought to the notice of the Manager, he asks me if I'd informed anyone to clean the room ! Upon check-out, I was told that they accepted only cash, but when I insisted that I can pay only by credit card it was finally accepted, though reluctantly ! Some of the guest-houses a little further down are much better !…
The hotel was good otherwise, but the service was pathetic! A person from room service just barged in without even knocking. Things like hangers, kettles etc. that were asked for, were not provided at all. The food was just average. Huge disappointment despite such a big brand name.
Well maintained, nice room, clean linens. Facilities are basic for budget hotel. All these comes at good price. Staff is courteous. This hotel is very close to the sanctuary, so that is an added advantage.
I stayed here for one night after moving from the Sonar Haveli Hotel. The facade and reception area look impressive and the whole place is clean, but my room was very plain though quite comfortable.it was quiet at night and I slept well, and there was good hot water in the shower, but the bathroom floor got slippery when wet, and stayed wet all day, with not much to hold on to. The free breakfast was good with toast, jam, an omelette and coffee, and the dinner I had here was very tasty and reasonably priced The location is good, being close to the bird park and not far from the main part of town. I went to the bird park with Mr Kesh? who waiting outside the hotel in rickshaw no.41; he was a really good guide, spoke good basic English and could identify all the birds ( see separate review). The wifi worked fairly well in my room, but there were no English channels on the flat screen TV. When I checke out, tge iwner saud he could have turned on some English channels if I had asked.…
The hotel is conveniently situated only 500m from the gate of the park. All facilities including room, cleanliness, food was nice. However, the management might like to look at improving the responsiveness and accuracy of the services provided to their clients. Moreover, they should have digital payment options for food items as well.
