Ranjit's SVAASA is a creation out of a luxurious refurbishment of the 200 year old British Colonial Haveli, now plush with its characteristic boutique rooms and suites, fully equipped with modern amenities. The property also houses an award winning Spa in its restructured horse stables and cow sheds. The open courtyard plush with landscaped greenery and the rooftop organic vegetation all adorn the small yet beautiful manor. In the heart of the City, Ranjit's SVAASA is a peaceful haven to relax and cherish your holiday with authentic home cooked Punjabi food, with continental options. Enjoy meeting and interacting with the Mehra's, the Royal family descendants who personally manage and run this place making it a rich home away from home experience. Enjoy playing with the family dog or listening to the chirping birds or seeing the green parrots flying around.

Detailed Reviews
First impressions are that this hotel is a bit off the beaten track but actually it is quite well placed once you work out how to explain to tuk-tuk drivers how to get back there. It is also quite easy to flag one down on the main road to get anywhere in the city. Its location does mean that it is a peaceful haven to return to after exploring this lively, crowded and noisy city. It is quite a different experience to stay here and is full of nooks and crannies and interesting objects.
We switched rooms from one on the first floor to one on the top floor, which we preferred because it enjoyed more light and space than the one on the lower floor, and had a view over the garden next door. The higher room was one large room and big enough to open out the sofa into a second double bed, whereas the lower room had a separate bedroom and sitting room. Both rooms were comfortable, with a/c, a fridge and a kettle.
The hotel restaurant is very good and provides a varied menu. It is a bit on the pricey side by Indian standards but the quality and cleanliness balance this out.

+1
I visited this nice hotel with three other riends. We wer welcomed very warmly with a hot tey which was really necessary because it was quite cold. The hotel looks like an old palace and rooms are quite big and in boutique style. In the hall there are many family pictures and there is a common room with a fire place. Since it was so cold dining outside was not possible so we had to eat inside. Breakfast was inside as well.Unfortunately inside it was quite cold too. Ranjit tried to make the rooms as warm as possible but for Germans used to central heating it was sitll quite cold. That is the only reason for the four star rating.
Otherweise I can only speak good about the hotel, the staff, the food.
A special joy for us was the bracelet wo got as a present when we left.

This is a traditional Indian boutque hotel with a lovely open interior courtyard. Each room is individual with interesting character furniture. Outside there were pleasant seating areas.A very quiet location on a side street yet easy reach of the city centre.Friendly and helpful staff. Good food Indian style including the option of roti cooked fresh on an open fire in the garden for breakfast.
It was very clean and well maintained . It also had its own small roof top vegetable patch. Using some solar panels.
We enjoyed our brief stay and would recommend, we would certainly stay there again.

When you are surrounded by such beauty, the very comfortable rooms, the interesting furniture and decoration you cannot help but feel at peace in this heritage hotel. It is hidden away down a small road but it is very easy to get to the main tourist spots of Amritsar. The staff were always there to help, the breakfast was delicious, varied and plentiful. An excellent address

The Ranjit Svaasa was our first stop on a three week tour of India. We arrived at 4 am to this tranquil haven in what was the chaos of Amritsar. The room we had was spacious, clean and well maintained. It seemed to be a suite with separate bedroom area. We chilled for the first day having arrived at such an hour, and spent time in public the sitting room area, which was truly from another era. The breakfast buffets in the garden restaurant were extensive and good - you must try the parathas lovely made on a fire in the garden . The staff were very warm and courteous, and insisted in given each of us a sikh steel bangle on departure. A truly delightful start to our Indian adventure.

A hotel that seemed to effortlessly excel in every department. Our room was sublime with a balcony overlooking a courtyard with a flowering orange tree. The scent of blossom at night was wonderfully exotic. The hotlel interiors are wonderfully quirky with family memorabilia and photographs liberally displayed on walls and cabinets, as well as honours and enthusiastic from previous guests. The tastefully lit terrace was an ideal location for our evening dinner and morning breakfast. We were able to select and pre-order our meals so that they were sensible in quantity and extravagant in flavour and freshness.
Nothing was too much trouble, one waiter accompanied us to a local ATM and then organised a breakfast 'hamper' for our early morning departure to Delhi.
A thoroughly enjoyable experience delivered by a team of conscientious and profoundly gracious individuals.

Just had a 3 night stay at Ranjits Savaasa and would recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Amritsar. If you have any health /disabilities then request a room downstairs as the steps are steep to the upper rooms.
We travel a lot and have never witnessed staff so helpful and attentive. Nothing is too much trouble, even down to them opening breakfast early for us to grab a coffee and toast before we left. They would have given us a packed breakfast if we could have carried it!!!
We ate in the restaurant both nights, delicious home cooked traditional food and again we couldn't fault the staff and service.
Only 'negative' from us was the very hard bed, which we are not used to.. Easily solved by using the mattress protector provided and extra cushions!

My wife Emma and I spent four nights at this wonderful Haveli which has a fantastic vibe and is full of character. Located in a superb location to explore Amritsar, yet away from the maddening crowds. It is clear that the attention to detail is very important to the staff ensuring that your stay is a good one. Rooms are sizeable and have all you need for your stay. Breakfast is excellent, in a buffet style, located in a separate eating room to the main Haveli. Special mention has to be given to the staff, especially Simar, Navneet, Sarthak and Deepak. Nothing is to much. Highly Recommended.

Reviews are a matter of personal opinion, and this is no exception.
My husband choose this hotel and from the ‘detailed description and photos” on all the booking sites I can see why.
However like the “Curates Egg” it’s good in parts,.
1. It is heritage, full of furniture, photos, and artefacts from a bygone era, things handed down through time.
2. I don’t really know whether it’s a good position for touring Amritsar as I had not been to the city before, but it’s is jammed between building sites, which gives it a very unpleasant outlook
3. On the walls are awards and articles giving it glowing reports however most of these are very faded with time and most at least 10 years old.
4. The reality is, for all its charm it’s dirty and shabby, our room was freezing and an attempt had been made to warm it with a tiny fan heater, which was turn on as we arrived, the bathroom was cold and the towels grey and dingy. There was a piece of soap in a dirty dish that had clearly been used before wrapped a piece of cling film, the bath was new, but when I put a small amount of water in it, most of it leaked from the bottom onto the floor. Hot water was by solar, but there was no sun the day we arrived so no hot shower! A new tv had been installed but the plastic wrapper had not been taken off it. However the bed was large and clean and comfortable one thing in its favour.
5. Food is available ordered by phone via What’s App ! We had supper but it was very average and served in a dinning room that was even colder than the bedroom. Breakfast was fine, but very unexciting.
6. We stayed one night and moved on. I took photos of things that were substandard but I can not see any sense in publishing them, all of these things are a matter of opinion and what I saw might not be and in some of the exuberant cases not what others saw and experienced.
7. It has a “ Luxury price tag “ but in my personal experience and opinion there is now not luxury, I have no doubt at sometime in its life it has been luxury , but that bird has flown.

Absolutely beautiful property in a very quiet area. The house is full of artefacts and a wonderful smell as you enter the property. There are flowerpots everywhere. The staff are very attentive. We checked in at 10pm after the restaurant was closed but the person on duty went and got some toast and jam for us. The same person even came to our room to collect our cases when we were about to check out at 6am. Our room was large with a huge bed. The shower was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay here.

It's good but personal recommendation would be to enjoy the serene environment and soak in the silence and natural beauty of the place
Sorry, i cannot answer this. Contacting the hotel seems the best way.
