Utopia Farmstay, Nashik is a waterfront property overlooking the serene Gangapur Lake on one side and the majestic Sahyadri mountain ranges on the other. The 10 cottages for guests, aesthetically designed with pure seasoned teak-wood sourced from the waadas of Maharashtra. Each room has been painstakingly decorated with authentic tribal (adivasi) artwork, to give you a feel of an actual village home from the heartlands of rural Maharashtra. In addition to the guest cottages, there is a reception area and a special outdoor dining enclosure. An organic garden occupies a corner of the premises. Presently, due to COVID, we are accepting only long-term bookings (workations) for guests who are looking to work outside the city amidst nature.

Absolutely s stunning location with equally stunning hosts.

Uttara & Advaidt the hosst made the stay memorable and extremely comfortable

The location is on gangapur lake which is the reservoir of river godavari, the place is so serene and peaceful that it became difficult to leave the positively charged place.

Dinner is served upon request and the homemade meal are an added bonus.

York winery which is nearby is a great option for lunch and so Sula Vineyards with its several eating options.

Utopia is a must visit for those who enjoy solitude and nature at its fullest.

We visited UTOPIA FARMSTAY for a much-needed break. When we reached the location, we first saw the lush green lawn and abundance of flowering plants it was a treat to our eyes. The stay is beautifully and tastefully built and decorated. The rooms with a rustic look, were clean and well maintained. I still can’t get over the beautiful sound of the windchimes and the chirping of birds throughout the day. It is an experience worth living. Evening was much more than expected entire farm was beautifully Lit & bon fire was cherry on the cake…

The property is neat and comfortable. Breakfast is delicious and just right.

Thanks Uttara Aunty and Adwait uncle for making our stay memorable.

If you're looking for peace and tranquility, this is the place to visit. Each room has a story to tell with its antique windows, doors and furniture. The calm waters of the lake, the beautiful sunset, the silence of the place in the night will make me go back. The hosts, Uthaara and Adwait made us feel so comfortable and at home. Must mention that the breakfast prepared by Uthaara was awesome!

Thank you Annie. The windows & pretty much all the other furniture have been sourced from all over the country. They were all parts of old havelis which were being broken down for concrete structures. We've been really fortunate to have them as a part of our collection. Hope to see you again soon!

Usually i like to put some water into wine when people are too enthusiastic but in this case i have to surrender. Only 2 days in a perfect place which can give you balance and rest. Authentic indian cottages between ricefields and wineyards, close to a lake with clean water where you can swim in, in a rural countryside without stress and noisepollution, although a/c, venti, shower , wc and mossiesafe-windows make you comfortable and safe.
So far the facts about western doubts how indian countryside may work out. It does. Another thing is the people who run this place with a kind of hospitality i rarely found before. Not going to details it's delicious food (Thanx to Uttara👍) best lemongrasstea ever and caring without controlling. Definitely like to come back, for more than 2 days, recommending this place highly for all who are looking for an authentic and safe place in rural maharashtra, we did it with India Someday who organised all around cause you need driver to go there as it is in the countryside, and don't expect bars and restaurants by footwalk, Nashik is about 4 miles away, not a party location but a place to come down and into👍😁
Thanx to Adwait and his crew and all people who made that possible🙏

A no frills place that allows the beauty of nature do its magic.

I would describe it more like a home stay in a location that embraces the farms, the gorgeous Gangapur lake, the gentle chill in the air, birds chirping, orange to crimson sunrise/ sunset and the wholesome home cooked meals carefully prepared by our host Uttara plucking fruits and veggies from her garden.

The place offers possibilities to entertain yourselves in the really brilliantly managed MTDC boat club for water sports and multiple treks mostly to ancient temples.

If your idea of a holiday is to wake up late and eat pizzas or burgers for breakfast or have a constant entertainment planner, then this place is not for you.
Its not a hotel…. it’s a home.

So there is ‘service’ that comes your way because you are in peoples homes and not because you’ve ‘paid’ for your holiday. There’s a subtle difference between the two ‘service’ expectations. It’s a place that you enjoy in the early hours of the day and the joy is in going completely local in all you do.

Our hosts Advait and Uttara continued to amaze us with their energy through all conversations and meals. They have built the place on their own and host people in the hope of making new friends and staying in touch with their own passions and purpose to allow a taste of country life for city dwellers.
We left the place with happy memories, new friends and a very large gondhoraj fruit that Uttara gifted us ( because we so loved the citrusy fruit).

We hope to be back real soon.

Hi Ajay. I missed meeting you & your family. But you have no idea how happy my parents felt reading this review in particular. They told me how there was a guest during your trip who wasn't like our usual guest and made my parents' Christmas slightly difficult. But I guess it takes all kinds. We've tried through our website / social media/emails to make it known that the farm is an extension of our home. And unlike a commercial hotel, we run the property as a homestay. Through the last four years, we've had the privilege of hosting many wonderful families such as yours. And most often than not, the guests have come back for a second or third visit with their friends and families. That's the beauty of a homestay. We end up making these beautiful memories. I hope to meet you in your next trip. Hope you have a lovely 2022.

Utopia is an excellent getaway from the daily pressures of life. It is serene, comfortable and perfect for a 2 night getaway to breathe fresh air into your busy lives. The owners run this bed and breakfast with a personal touch and the staff goes out of their way to make your stay comfortable. The rooms are tastefully done up, the food is v fresh and the proximity to Sula vineyards makes it a great choice for wine lovers. A must visit if you like peace & quiet.

We just returned after a 3 day stay at Utopia - scenic, serene, in the lap of nature. I would highly recommend this place, along the Gangapur dam, that has been built with love and passion, each room having its own rustic charm. We were served delicious food which was organically grown on the farmstay. Just enjoyed the welcome detox from the busy city life. Last but not the least - mention must be made of the warm hospitality and personal touch extended by the hosts - Adwait and Uttara Kher. We will definitely be returning soon.

The minute we stepped out of the vehicle, and were greeted by the host who walked us right up-to our room , we knew we were in the right place. The room with its wood work curated and crafted by the host himself over many years of travel we hear, lent a feeling of us being part of times we only read of in history books. Many of them antiques in their own right the earthy interiors are tastefully done. The freshly cooked food from the hosts personal kitchen, made from vegetables grown in their own farm, sprinkled with utmost care for the guests palate was special to say the least. The view starting with the lawn, going past the vegetable plantations reaching out to the lake in the deep with the hills giving it cover is a sight to behold. The sound of steps on the gravel, accompanied by the bamboo chimes, with birds chirping in the background and an occasional shout out by the 2 little farmers kids formed sounds that can only be heard in silence. All in all a lovely place for a break for those who love the charm of a farm

Love the title of the review. The sound of silence really is one of the best (if not the best) sounds one can hear. It's such a rarity in today's chaotic world. That's what we hope to keep here. A place that takes us back to mother earth! Hope to have you over again soon!

The perfect place to have a perfect weekend holiday is what you are looking for, then definitely Utopia Farmstay at Nasik is where you should head to. It's a place that you fall in love with the movement you arrive, it's like Love at first sight ! The thoughtfully and creatively designed cottages, the green and lovely garden, the unending view of the lake and the mountains beyond immediately work up their miracle and melt away all the stress and tiredness and take you into ur Zen state!! We loved the details and love that has been put up by the hosts into creating and sharing this lovely space with us!
Located just near to York and Sula Vineyards , it's an ideal and nearby getaway from Mumbai. Each and every cottage has a different story to tell as each is unique and designed with various artifacts that Advait and Uttara, the hosts have picked up from across the country! And they are the most gracious hosts when it comes to welcoming their guests and making their stay comfortable and memorable!
They serve delicious home made food on prior order for lunch and dinner while breakfast is part of the stay.
Our son enjoyed playing fooseball and chess at the open courtyard playzone created, also running across the lawn and tht open space is a rare enjoyment kids get here.
Lunch and wine tasting at nearby York winery, lazing in the afternoon, watching the beautiful sunset from their lawns and catching some bird photography was all what we did here.
Thanks to the gracious hosts Advait and Uttara for letting us spend such good time at Utopia! Coming back for sure...
