Utopia Farmstay, Nashik is a waterfront property overlooking the serene Gangapur Lake on one side and the majestic Sahyadri mountain ranges on the other. The 10 cottages for guests, aesthetically designed with pure seasoned teak-wood sourced from the waadas of Maharashtra. Each room has been painstakingly decorated with authentic tribal (adivasi) artwork, to give you a feel of an actual village home from the heartlands of rural Maharashtra. In addition to the guest cottages, there is a reception area and a special outdoor dining enclosure. An organic garden occupies a corner of the premises. Presently, due to COVID, we are accepting only long-term bookings (workations) for guests who are looking to work outside the city amidst nature.

We spent three nights at Utopia Farmstay. Before considering Utopia, we had a few other options in mind but chose Utopia over them based on TripAdvisor and Google reviews as well as the proximity to Nashik city - it sounded safer option as we were traveling with my mother (66 years old) and son (3 years old). Location All four of us just loved the location. It is not too far from the city - takes about ten minutes to hit the suburban area. The location is in the vicinity of Gangapur lake and I believe this is the USP for Utopia as well as a few other properties such as York and Sula which aren't too far from this farm. The moment you step out of the room, you are greeted with fresh breeze from the lake - something which you can't experience in the cities. The place has sufficient space for children's play, and has a fairly functional garden where Kher family grows vegetables, fruits and flowers. Food Real home cooked food with clear focus on using farm grown vegetables as much as possible. Not spicy and we needed zero customisation for our son's meals, and yet we found it tasty for ourselves. They of course can customise the food if we intimate with sufficient notice. Rooms We chose one room, with extra bedding and it wasn't too congested. Of course it not possible to accommodate more than three adults in the room. The place is built with reused materials collected from various places in India and it adds to the rustic charm. Every room has a small booklet which describes the story behind the furniture and it is interesting to learn. Passion and bit of madness ;) reflects everywhere on the property. It was heartening to know that no fresh wood was cut while making this property! Note - Bathroom is basic but functional. You may have to wait a bit for the water to warm up. Hospitality Kher family was present on most of the days to interact with us, despite not too many other guests. They made sure we were well fed and also walked us through their journey to Utopia. Both of them are ex Taj, have run a few restaurants before deciding to focus on Utopia, and thus know the basics of the hospitality industry very well. They of course take pride saying that Utopia is not a hotel but more like a homestay. We discussed on several topics including but not limited to water sports, indigenous medicines and itineraries for the local travel. Check in was smooth and almost no call was needed as everything was smoothly sorted on WhatsApp. Cost We learnt that the three nights package has free boarding. Felt that the cost was just right. Overall - big thumbs up to us for selecting Utopia over other options, and to Kher family for their passion and hardwork to create a place with tremendous positive vibes and rural yet comfy feel.…

Went with my family along with parents. I made a mistake. For me , it is Not a place to take your children and elderly. Very very disappointing service. Now they can call this review fake and demean us too as they have done to almost all clients writing honest reviews. Waste of my and family's time, money and peace of mind. Didn't find it worthy.

We spent a day at Uttara & Adwait kher’s Farmstay at Nashik. The property is conveniently located 5 minutes from Sula vineyards overlooking the Gangapur lake on one side and the Sahyadri mountain on the other. It is a very quiet place and you sleep to the chorus of the cicadas and wake up to the dawn symphony of birds. It is a very cozy 10 room Farmstay. No two rooms are same . From the doors and windows to the furniture in the room, everything is antique and has been collected by Adwait from places all over the country. The Farmstay itself has been built by him with a local contractor using eco friendly materials to reduce the carbon footprint. The rooms are comfortable with air conditioning if you need and the bathrooms are clean and have hot water. Fortunately there is no television in the room. There is no room service but the service that you do get is extremely personalised. You will see both Uttara and Adwait pottering about the property doing maintenance work and enquiring about your needs. Only breakfast is included in the tariff which is very reasonable. However lunch and dinner is available if preordered 24 hours in advance. It is home grown and home cooked food, both vegetarian and non vegetarian . Highly recommended. The food is extremely tasty and portions huge. And beware that a close watch is kept on whether you eat well or not. There is a walking track that you will need to get on to after eating the food. Amazing place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The houses are quite vintage in their construction and the hosts feel like family with their warm hospitality - would recommend anyone going to Nashik to stay at Utopia

Beautifully located overlooking the Gangapur lake Utopia Farmstay is bordered with lush green fields growing different vegetables and fruit trees !! Once you enter the property it is so peaceful with no disturbance and no pollution. Well decorated rooms with 5 star amenities and great wifi connectivity too !! The hosts are a wonderful couple and welcome you to the extension of their home making you extremely comfortable and serving the best fresh home made food!!!! We had a great time at Utopia and look forward to visiting again soon…Thank you Uttara n Adwait for a great time at your place

An excellently located and aestethically done up stay!! Almost 20 of us visited this place together 15 days ago, and we still talk about it !! A home away from home- with home cooked meals and best of Nature around. Uttara would personally be there while we were served our very fresh meals! Adwait took us for an evening walk which ended at what he had rightly said - a magical moment - the view of the sun setting and beautifully reflecting in the vast expanse of water !!! We came home rejuvenated- and their beautiful home stay with a very personal touch - had a great role in the same. Would look forward to visiting again someday !!!

To begin with the warmth and love with which the hosts Advait and Uttara welcome you, you feel at home amidst the blessing of serene nature. The home cooked food was unparallel. We stayed for 3 nights and each meal was unique . The essence of home cooked meal and the hosts being present during meal time, only enhances the experience. The ambience is very surreal and soothing. Waking up to the chirping of birds pitter patter of rains and chiming of wooden wind chimes , gives you the perfect getaway from the daily routine. The small talks that we had with the hosts took me to a restrospective journey and actually calmed me. A very big thanku Uttara and Aditya for your hospitality and providing such an amazing experience.
