The location is ideal close to the nashik city, easily accessible by road, the approach roads need some repairs. The ambience is exotic, the consergie staff well mannered & helpful. Reception desk & buggy ride to the reception area is exhilarating. Rooms are well made & upholstery & linen very clean, a lemon grass aroma would add value to the atmosphere. The lilting music around keeps the mood in sync with the ambience. The property is well laid out & planned to perfection, with villas, tree houses & rooms, adequately spaced with lots of greenery around. Restaurants are well spruced with culinary delights to feed everyone's appetite - Italian, continental & Indian delicacies to be savored from & suiting your palate. The winery tour & tasting sessions with all brands of wine tasting are any vacationers delight, with a session briefing the historical relevance & background gives a feel of nostalgia leaving you invigorated in the atmosphere. Overall a vacation well spend ideally a 2 night stay at the location is enough to spruce up your weekend.

One of the best resorts out there .. This is not just a resort, it's an experience. The amenities and staff behavior speaks of luxury. The lush vineyards is just cherry on top. Food albeit expensive, was very tasty. Wine was part of the package, as non drinkers, it didn't do much for us. I haven't seen a better trained staff even in 5 star luxury hotels. Even 2 days aren't sufficient to go through all the activities available in the resort.
Cons- I did however find a couple of cockroaches in the bathroom. They need to take better care of it especially when we pay upwards of 10k for a room.

I made a booking in the month of December for a stay in Feb 2024 as my wife and me were celebrating our first wedding anniversary. At first I was very disappointed as the price of the room I had booked had dropped by 3k and I felt I’ve paid too much.
On my arrival at “The Source” I met Mr Ratul Gupta (DGM - Resort) and requested if he could upgrade our room as I felt I had paid too much. Unfortunately that wasn’t possible but he did make up for it.
The housekeeping boys Amol, and Vishnu along with Ratul had arranged a nice floral arrangement in our room along will a complimentary bottle of wine. My wife and me were really impressed with this. They also arranged some fruits and small bites to go along with the wine.
Ratul also arranged a lovely candle light dinner for us in the evening which was handled very well by Mayur who ensured we had a great experience.
Overall, we had a great experience and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I really appreciate all the efforts put in by Ratul to ensure our stay was a memorable one.
P.S When you order your meal at the restaurant “Rasa” be prepared to wait for at least half an hour for your food to arrive.

Not right place for us, we went to Nasik to see the notable places , this hotel was recommended by youths , probably fit for them. We found it overpriced and terrible dinner. Swimming pool, instrumental, flute music in the evening, wild disc jockey dance till late night , wine testing for an hour. Vineyard ,pruned vines now. When arrived our car was directed to a very dusty place with naked red soil, before we objected our hand bags were on dust ,one accompanying us requested not to place our hand bags on dusty soil, heard the guards saying to each other in local dialect, ignore what they say ,we do our way. Later discovered the hand bags on sofa where we supposed to sit at reception. One receptionist brought not so cold drinks with his hand on upper edge of glass where our lips will be placed to drink, when said he should hold the glasses at the bottom, went back ,half emptied then brought again, ,this time on a trolley . Soon found out all the assistants are students or just qualified from hotel management intuitions , employed at cut price like Rs 15000 .( as one said later, but did not confirm) . Nasik soil is best for grapes ,found 3 kilo grapes sold for Rs 100. The owner found the barren land, tested soil, found right for wine producing grapes, with western technology has started producing wine. The room was spacious, good workable shower, because of heat we did not need hot water. Tea coffee in room. Bed just alright . The house keeping staffs were excellent, probably always afraid of loosing jobs, anything wanted like extra towel or bottle of drinking water was there in just few minutes. Swimming pool water was warm on Sunday ,not so on weekday. Breakfast three star hotel standard but good coffee. Dinner we ate one night was simply horrible, about 30 ml of vegetable paste for over Rs 400 /500 . Understood they were prepared by trainee cooks. Not to blame them. For Rs 1400 we had a splendid dinner at one Rajyog restaurant in Nasik for five, and at Leopold Mumbai restaurant for just over Rs 4000 we had good lunch for four of us, here for over Rs 2000 we four ate almost nothing. Good profit for owner. Saw mostly young couples who came to this place ,some with their elderly parents .. quality of wines are not bad, rather recommendable like Chilean wines ,but what the short lady lectured in wine testing could not understand a word. Accent and vibrant speaker, If one have money and wish to see winery then fine, but for us for site seeing, we found the place not right.

The experience at the Sourse at Sula was excellent. Housekeeping staff (Somnath) were doing a good job of making our stay comfortable.
The ambience, especially in the rooms, was excellent: small things like the wood (instead of plastic) for toileteries, the good quality fittings everywhere and the ergonomic layout of everything made our stay comfortable and enjoyable.
I especially liked the variety / quality of the Breakfast, which kept us going throughout the day.
The wines were, of course, excellent, as expected.
One small gripe: the wine tasting tour was too rushed: since there were so many groups, the person explaining had no time to do this properly. The wine tasting at York (also owned by Sula) was more relaxed, as the number of people was limited and so the explanation was at a more leisurely pace.
Suggestion: Keep an App for booking the tasting session, where people can book their time-slot online and there should be a limited number of people for each session, with enough time for proper explanation.
As wine tasting is a unique experience, this should never be rushed.
Another option could be to have the wine tasting session arranged with an audio-visual AI guide in the room itself: the housekeeping staff can bring the various bottles at an agreed time and the AI-host could be either on the TV screen or on Smartphones. This would mean that participants could enjoy this session at leisure.

A fantastic experience at the source, Sula. The property is beautiful and amazingly well maintained. The rooms are big, airy and have a proper old world charm. We stayed in a room facing the courtyard and having seen location of some of the other rooms I think the rooms facing the courtyard are the best. You get to sit out and relax downing the local wine and enjoy the views of the courtyard. Plus the restaurant, La Bodega is bang opposite, so very convenient. Food at the restaurant is very nice although options are bit limited. We had lunch and dinner there and it was very good. Breakfast spread is very good although some of the usual french delicacies were missing which is a shame as the place draws so much inspiration from the premier French wine growing region of Bordeux. A big shout out to Mayur who waited on us in La Bodiga. He was very courteous and supremely efficient. He gave us some insights on the wine business plus also gave us a nice deal on couple bottles of sparkling.
The mosquitoes in the room were an irritation and the solitary repellant provided in the room is inadequate. Perhaps a nitpick given the rural location of the property but it forced me to hold a star back from otherwise a fantastic experience.

We visited Sula, a much-needed vacation as a couple. Lalit, one of the attendants, met us as our driver dropped us off, and shuttled us to the reception. The weather was nice to begin with, but as soon as we stepped into the lush greenery of the vineyard the air was noticeably cooler. The grounds were well kept, full of beautiful greenery and a wide variety of flowers, and we were met with iced tea at the reception area.
We stayed in one of the treehouse rooms which are very close to the pool and jacuzzi, both of which we enjoyed multiple times. After working up an appetite from swimming and cycling around the property, we sampled the flavourful cuisine at La Bodega, the on-site restaurant.
On our second day, following a conversation with Ananthan (the guest relations manager), he arranged for us and another couple to meet with the head chef Shrikant and take a tour of the vineyard's organic farm where much of the restaurant's produce is grown. We recognized the mint from their mojitos, fragrant basil that went into our pesto pasta, figs that were in that morning's compote, and many other fruits, veggies, and herbs.
The grapeseed oil couple's massage was followed by a sauna and complimentary glasses of sparkling rosé, after which we felt extremely relaxed. That evening we enjoyed a tour of the winery and a tasting of six delicious varieties of wine. In particular we appreciated the sparkling shiraz, a delicious combo we'd never seen elsewhere.
The rest of our stay was a mix of live music, a barbecue dinner, time in the game room playing billiards, foosball, and table tennis, and simply lounging around. By the end of our stay we had put together a list of wines to take home with us. The staff arranged for these to be packed and taken directly to our car when we checked out. All of this was only a 3.5 hour drive from Mumbai via uber-intercity or a cab service recommended by the vineyard's management. We have already decided that our next stay at Sula will be longer.

The best quality about Sula has to be the people who work there. The eye for hiring employees is commendable, the dedication, compassion and empathy that Lalitji, Mr. Ratul and Niraj from La bodega showed us made our stay absolutely memorable. It's a great place to escape for a couple days. The amenities are amazing, although if you're planning a longer stay I advise you to bring your own snacks, the kitchen closes at 10:30pm , midnight menu at 3:00am, the room needs to be equipped with better electronics especially the TVs, there's only so much wine a person can drink for a longer stay soft drinks in the mini bar would be appreciated. And for those hunger pangs at ungodly hours a little packet of nuts, biscuits, chips or crackers would have been a nice touch in the rooms but you will need to get your own. A lot of the time we hesitated to open the wine bottle provided in the room only because it was so late and we had nothing to eat with it. Wine can get acidic, a little cup of vanilla ice cream in the mini bar ? During our stay the jacuzzi needed maintenance but the sunbathing area and pool were sights to see. With high ceilings and larger than life rooms the ACs really need to be able to cool the entire room till the headboard of the bed which was missing in our room. Dim lights in most rooms make it difficult to put on make up. If you're a woman coming for a special occasion I suggest you bring a compact mirror with you. The magnifying mirrors in the bathroom or mirrors in the bathroom can come with LED light strips in white so as not to mess with the rustic ambience the resort is known for. The vineyard is beautiful. The wine tasting let's you try 6 different wines. The spa is unbelievably good. I recommend the vino scrub. La bodega IS THE SPOT, the tasting room has finger foods and the food at Rasa was honestly disappointing. If you're at the resort stick to La bodega it's the best. The bar next to the pool needs to be cleaned restarted and manned a true vacation is incomplete without a drink by the pool side. A definite plus is the cooking classes that they have some days at 5:00pm. Loved attending that ( pro tip : don't skip lunch thinking you'll have what you cook at the cooking class they're easy to follow finger food recipes :") )
