Our stay at Eterno Capithans Dale was an excellent break from the busy city life. We stayed in the suite room with splendid views of the hills and the tea plantations. The property has a luxurious and relaxing interior which sits on a slop in middle of the tea plantation with great views of the scenic valley. Beyond the relaxing atmosphere of the villa, was the excellent service offered by the staff, was very attentive, professional and friendly. There is jeep trekking, walk trekking, and other activities provided there. It was indeed a wonderful mini-vacation!
Capithans Bungalow has THE BEST location overlooking Anaerangal Lake, tea plantations and the mountains. The rooms are fine, though in need of a bit of TLC. The food is excellent though and the staff are very friendly. Would recommend if you really want to get away from the hustle and bustle and get some peace and quiet up in the mountains, as long as that's not ruined by people in the next room playing loud music!!
I still cherish the moments I had spent in this lovely place... I had visited this Resort Twice... I would say it is my best stay in India... Pro's 1. The best place to admire nature, the construction and design of the resort is pretty awesome that you land up on the top floor to park your vehicle. 2. Lush green tea estate, the beautiful view of lakes, mountains wrapped in clouds, the topmost resort in that locality, the list goes on... If you are a nature lover, you can't miss this place. 3. Beautiful birds, sounds of nature in the early morning and late nights, adds up to the beauty of this place. 4. Exceptionally friendly and caring staff. 5. Homely food. Con's 1. This place takes a minimum of 45 mins from the heart of Munnar Town. 2. Roads are kinda challenging to drive an ordinary car, and the last 1 km stretch you can't drive without an SUV (But don't worry, if you call the manager he will arrange you a vehicle for the last stretch, He helped us the same way) 3. You need to drive for at least 20 mins to find a shop for any purpose. But I would suggest that if you are kind of person who wanna roam all over the city, then you can find better options. But if you are a person who looking for a pleasant stay in one place with morning and evening walk, nature admirer. This is exactly the place you have to visit. Manager Mr.Saju was the most friendly guy I ever met. He takes care of every request we ask for, I took my father who had recently undergone some major surgery, they were very courteous enough to take care of all our specific needs. So it's family friendly for sure. And the prices are pretty reasonable. I will surely visit again.…
The place is 23 km from munnar city and the last couple of kilometers to this place were rough. There are a few routes that lead to the site so be sure to contact the hotel manager for directions well before u reach munnar city. The place is quite remote. No other resorts nearby. Surrounded by tea gardens and forests and naked mountains in the back drop and a lake and valley view in front which is to die for. This property has one two bedroom suite and four other rooms. All rooms are beautifully done and have the same spectacular view. Places to see nearby are the kollukumalai peak and tea estate. This is a one hour off road Jeep ride and we were told the sunrise and view from here ( can see Tamil Nadu on one side and Kerala on the other side of the peak) is much more beautiful than the ones nearer to the town. Other attractions are the lake but we were content walking around the resort in the nearby tea gardens and cardamon fields. The owner of the nearby campsite and fields, a gentleman named Mr Robert was kind enough to give us a tour and treated us to fresh cardamoms and oranges from his orchards. Coming to the stay, we couldn't be happier with the room and service. The food is simple but fresh and delicious. most vegetables were organic and grown right there in front of the hotel, the menu is limited but Mr Matthews was most kind to make any changes as per our taste. Breakfast is hearty and complementary. They feed you with so much love , you feel like u r their personal guest. We had the live chicken and vegetable barbecue one night and Mr Anthony was most attentive and dilligent and took care of us for more than 2 hrs on his feet. Last but not the least Mr saju, the manager was always at service, most polite and helpful. Thank you guys for the wonderful experience. We recommend this place completely to anyone who appreciates a peaceful and quaint location far from the hustle and likes a personal touch ..…
I was there for a couple of days from Jan 13th to 15th..the location is absolutely beautiful...picture perfect for a relaxing holiday..big room with a attached kitchen and dining with French windows all around...vast balcony to sit and cherish the view for a life time.staffs are very friendly.but the road is bad and the food is acceptable...but these will not stop me from visiting again..
The rocky road to Capithans Bungalow was well worth it. The room was large, quiet, and serene. We had a huge private balcony overlooking the scenic beauties of Kerala which was perfect for morning yoga. The staff was very accommodating with fast food service and even laundry service. We felt so comfortable with the friendly staff. There are also beautiful hikes with set trails in the nearby tea plantations you can walk to.
Place with a crazy view. People are nice and always ready to help. Some small things can be improved but nevertheless it’s great I recommend it. There are great hikes around and apparently you can get with a Jeep on a high peak from here
The best experience I ever had. Best hotel around Munnar. Location wise it's a best hotel I have ever seen. Nothing beats there hospitality. Location: 5 out of 5 Food: 5 out of 5 Service: 5 out of 5 The only change is the condition of the road to reach this place. But Manager of this place is so nice( Sajju ) he cam to pick us and dropped us when it was required. Thank you so much Sajju for every thing you did for us.
If trip advisor has option of giving 7 star, I would have given it 7 star. No matching of it in munnar. Let me tell u all point by point. Hospitality:- 1) where can u get your personal wi fi router from manager for all the days of your stay. Hotel is having one centralised WiFi system but since I had to upload huge data, manager Sajju Solomon gave me his personal router for use for all days of stay!!! 2) we wanted to go to lake and wanted to see wild elephants. He took his personal jeep and not only made us sight seeing of Lake but also made sure we see some wild elephants and took forest officer permission n took off road. It was 3-4 hours activity n he charged us just diesel expense!!! 3) we are vegetarian n was finding their cooking different from what we eat. He allowed us to use his kitchen for self cooking all 3 days and charged us not even half of the price listed!!! 4) They made one night camp fire on roof of hotel, one morning they arranged breakfast on roof of hotel specially for us. 5) one man accompanied us to guide us for our sight seeing of nearby walkable tea gardens and cardimum plantations!! Best view:- Suryanelli is top of munnar and there are very few hotels there so less conjusted but you get most beautiful view n atmosphere there. Though u may have to travel few extra kilometer in your car n then also in hotels jeep but these efforts are worth. The suit room has 3 side broad balcony from where u get spectacular view of tea gardens n mattaputti dam. Taking breakfast in morning is experience of life time. U feel clouds passing by you at your head level. Aminities:- 1) one big hall with kitchen with option of using gas n world class crocaries. 2) fully furnished bed room 3) Japanese style multifunction camod. 4) jacuzzi in bathroom, dry area, separate luggage area. 5) 3 side full view open balcony. Hats off to hotel staff for such great hospitality n specially to Sajju Solomon. …
Super awesome place. You have to be here to believe how much beauty it holds and the views are mesmerising. If you need a quiet and peaceful stay, go for it. It's a bit away from main sightseeing places and the road is a bit tricky too. But the views, the staff and the hospitality provided, compensates for it. The staff is very friendly and cooperative. Breakfast they served was tasty too. Overall I'm very happy and will definitely recommend this place for a peaceful stay away from hustle and bustle of the city. 😊
