Property location is completely isolated (no cellphone signal too). You can spend quality time with family. They serve quality food at reasonable price. We enjoyed the climate and stay. Initial few kms will be an off-road be prepared for that. Definitely would have this resort in my list if I visit Munnar once again. One suggestion to Resort team : Keeping the people engaged inside isolated resort bit difficult. If we had internal game center like Carrom board/ Playing cards would help a lot (Though the resort already have them, it's limited to only Villa stay)
An excellent place to visit for relaxation if you are visiting Munnar or nearby places. Right from the reservation, the staff ensure you have the right directions to reach the place without any hassles. Mr. Akhil ensured that we had these as we were travelling post the evening hours. The house keeping, kitchen and restaurant staff were very courteous. They keep you informed about the meals ahead and ensure updates when things are ready. Food was scrumptious, needless to say. You can take a stroll and visit the small cave, little falls, the plantation, the view point or just relax in your balcony listening to the chirping of the birds and relax with a cup of tea/coffee. We had an amazing time staying at this beautiful and luxurious resort. Overall, it's a must visit place if you are looking for a peaceful getaway from the hustle bustle of the city life.…
Stayed on this property in the month of Feb with my family. Our earlier plan was to stay there for 2 nights and the remaining 3 nights somewhere close to the Munnar town. But the experience of the first 2 nights was so good that we decided to extend our stay here for the rest of the 3 nights of our Munnar trip. Pros: - The location of the property. It is surrounded by thick vegetation, feels like we are in midst of the forest. Early morning we woke up to the songs of the birds from all the 4 sides. The walk inside the property, as well as in surrounding areas, was refreshing and relaxing. There is a sunset point within a walking distance of the property - Very close to many tourist spots: Lockhart Tea Plantation (Don't miss this place if you want good tea plantation photos), Kolkumalai (Go there for the mesmerizing sunrise with a bonus offroading experience), Anayirankal dam - Food: The food here was equally good. Be it Kerala food, Chinese, or North Indian food, everything tasted good - Personalized service: We traveled there during the third wave of covid, in spite of that we received very personalized service. They also gave us a room upgrade, they set up a private bonfire for us, prepared breakfast delicacies as per our request - Staff: The staffs were really helpful, courteous, and always available. I would like to thank Sudish and Akhil for taking care of us well during our stay - Spa: They have a Spa inside the property but need to book in advance as the masseur is not based on the property. The spa experience was really good. The masseur was very experienced. Was one of the best spas we had in recent times -Rooms: The rooms were very spacious, clean, and had a very boutique feel Cons: There are not many. If I have to nit pick then: - The property is not for tourists who are visiting Munnar for 2 nights and want to explore all the touristy spots in Munnar as it is a bit far from the Munnar town which is the central location to explore all the touristy places in Munnar. It is for people who want to stay in nature to relax and unwind or have enough days to spend in Munnar to visit the places at a slower pace - Swimming pool is missing - The last 1-2 Kms of approach road to the property is a bit offroad. I felt a bit scared on the first day. But later it became one of the best parts of our daily trip outside the property…
All the things about resort are great. Still I found the wardrobe missing. Room is spacious, bathroom is spacious, view'from balcony is awesome. Breakfast is great and the staff is very helpful. The way from highway to resort is a major thrilling experience.
Highlights- Soothing view, singing birds, morning mist, foggy nights and awesome food with humble staff & manager…I would love to visit again. Excellent service in comparatively less price. Will recommend it to my friends.
Wow! What an marvellous place. We enjoyed it to the core. We admired every bit of the property which was surrounded by cardomen farm. It was an amazing architectural design. We were very lucky to have a beautuful misty climate which we never experienced. Early morning alarm of the bird's chirping and singing was mesmerizing. We had a great unforgettable time with our family.. if you are looking for a stress free stay I would recommend Neellakurinji. Thank you
Had an wonderful stay at the resort. Stayed in a Villa with the family. Resort itself was a picnic spot and you don’t need to go out anywhere else in Munnar for sightseeing. To me resort was the best place to stay & unwind yourself. All other sightseeing place I went was full of mad crowd & not worth it. The resort was completely inside the plantation & you get everything within like water Stream / trekking/ camp fire & also food arranged. Drive to the resort , the last 1km stretch is challenging- you need to be a good driver but speak to the resort they can help to sort out that driving issue. Just the last 1km drive shouldn’t stop you from enjoying the serene peace of the property. I would recommend the property for those who wanted to be away from all the hustle bustle of the mad crowd. Literally you are into the woods ! Don’t expect all amenities next to you if you choose this one ! This one is not in the city !! Relax in peace with Nature !!…
Our two day stay at Neelakurinji plantation resort was pleasant but there are a couple of things that should definitely be improved at the resort. We stayed at the Luxury cardamom room and few of the power points weren't working. I did inform this to the manager during checkout. There should be improvements from the resort to bring in some activities in the resort that could attract the guests other than there was nothing much to do. We just stayed at the resort. The resort did organise a jeep for us to visit the kolukkumalai tea estate , but other than that there was nothing much attractive during the stay. Further regarding the food , the menu for lunch was the same for both the days we stayed. We didn't find that quite good enough as it doesn't allow the guest to have a variety if they are staying for more than a day. The resort should definitely work on that. Also the second day that we stayed it was buffet for dinner and the food wasnt replenished at the right time whenever it was being consumed ( may be there was a large group of people who came up for the buffet dinner) , but still that should have been managed well. I did complain that few items are still empty , but the restaurant staff was slow in filling up things. It will be good if these things are improved. We were aware that the resort is in a very remote location and did find it difficult to reach, but do not want to point that out or compain as it was expected.…
Stay was great. Whole experience was worth going there. It was in the middle of jungle with waterfall inside the resort. Home made style food , warm staff , good Rooms . Everything was great. Our friends recommended the property and now we would recommend it to all of u .
I have visited Neelakurinji resort with my family based upon our 10th wedding anniversary and we stayed on 5th May. The location is so amazing , were location is away from the cities crowd and there was no disturbances and it was too family oriented atmosphere . The staffs are especially very cooperative and good in manners to each guest and ensure every one is enjoyed the stay with safer side. In point of view Road was a semi off road, since it is inside a Cardamom estate and creates a feeling we are entering into forest and my kids enjoyed the travel. The architect of the buildings soo eco friendly and summer time night temperature is nearly 16 degree and day weather was very chilled . Even the day time, my family walked inside rhe plantation and they get a better feeling than our previous outing. If any one planning to visit Neelakurinji should reach the location by Lunch and so day weather can be enjoyed.…
