A defining feature of this hotel is the sound of dripping water rushing through Kallar waterfalls downwards; the hotel is right below the waterfalls. I stayed in July 2022 and the experience was just awesome. Sounds of cicadas and birds add to the aura; I felt as if I am living inside a million-year-old rainforest (in fact shola rainforests are at least 150 million years old, much older than the entire Himalayas).

The rooms were damp. Approach road had a gradient I have never seen anywhere (around 40 degrees, I suggest leaving your vehicle beside the main road, which is hardly 50 meters away.

I didn't care about the luxury; the purpose of my trip is a sojourn amidst nature. Camping would have been just fine, so whatever management provided was beyond my already low expectations. I stayed here for a week and would love to come back. Highly recommended!

We weren’t expecting much coming here because it was rated as a 3 star in our tour package, but it really exceeded our expectations. The service was excellent, and several staff members spoke good English. The view from our room was fantastic, and we even had monkeys come visit us on our balcony. The breakfast buffet was good and changed each day. Also there was a dinner buffet on our second day that was very well priced. I would recommend this place if you want peace and quiet and a great view of nature.

The property lacks the intent for improvisation. Our travel agent requested for 5 Deluxe Rooms. The property replied by confirming 5 'Plantation View' rooms for us. Little does anyone know that the so called Plantation View rooms are actually standard rooms, a category inferior to the Deluxe Rooms. But the property is overall a substandard place. The access is steep, the rooms lack the basic facilities of clean water, clean lavatory and hot water. Though the only thing good about the property is the tea served there.

The hotel has a great position, immersed in greenery. The view from the restaurant is spectacular overlooking the tea plantations. The staff are very kind and helpful. Breakfast and dinner are wonderful with a wide variety of food. Ayurvedic massage is an unforgettable experience.

I was Very Skeptical to Book Black Forest Munnar, But i Should Thank Mr Vineet Nambiar for Suggesting the Resort. Resort In itself is Big and Lively. All rooms Have Balcony which is a Big Plus. The View from our Room was Excellent With Lush Green Trees and a Stream Running By, In the Evening we took a Bath in the stream, which was once in Life time Experience.. The Staffs were very Co operative and Always willing to serve.
Excellent Resort for the Price that i had Paid.
Amazing Location, Amazing Price(Very reasonable Price) and Value For Money.
A True Heaven on Earth !!!!!

You cannot term this hotel as resort. This is like budget hotel. You can easily get similar room in 1000-1200 near to city.

This place is 30 minutes drive away from city.

Wifi speed is very poor and unreliable. Rooms are very basic and look like hostel room. Bed would be not bigger than 5ft/6ft. All windows open similar side and if you open curtains any one from another room can easily peep in your room. I have asked for changing the room but as per manager all room are similar.

Only 20" TV in their so-called Deluxe room. No tea coffee maker. You have to beg for basic things like hot water/toilet roll. Little muddy water comes in tap.

Only fixed menu in dinner. Poor taste in food. I got complimentary "human hair" in my soup. Breakfast have very limited option. Hygiene is lacking in my view.no nearby restaurants so you have to have fixed meal of their choice which is not too good.

Garden area is not maintained. I did not feel relaxed as in night loud noise of shifting in restaurant and on second day private party was going on. And despite my repeated requests they didnot reduced volume.
