Booked for 2 nights, stayed only for 1 night because of very poor cleanliness, broken toilet, no electricity. Expect a 2 start hotel service and cleanliness for 12,000 rupees. Ignore this if you feel fake, stay go through the pathetic experience we had.

The overall experience was fair. The issues which I found are as below: The tree house was found with zero maintenance. The curtains were half fallen with open hook ends. There were spider webs around the balcony. The staircases were too old and were shaking while climbing. Most of the steel parts were found rusted which means they were not pained for long which is leading to corrosion. The rooms lights were dim enough. Things were organised well with cupboards and sitting chairs but the walls were not clean. Found black patches which means it was not painted for long. The door lock was broken and came out of wall as we closed. It's ok for one night stay if you are looking for budgeted stay without much hoping around the tree. Shabby look may make it a dull experience for many. It doesn't look as clean as shown in the pictures above.

The place took me by surprise with its lush green surroundings and serenity. It’s a different world altogether. Farm animals, nesting birds and a cool breeze always gushing by! Bliss and peace found in one big green package🙌

Stay away from this place. One day before arriving the manager/owner Paul wrote to us saying that we couldn't have our last day in the Tree house since he had double booked it. He didn't take any kind of responsibility and blamed booking.com. We barely saw Paul during our stay but the wifi didn't work at all and the electricity and water was inconsistent. On the day that he overbooked us, he put us in a "Japanese house" that was abandoned and really dirty. Later he arrived wanting our payment. We told him that we haven't received any kind of compensation for this inconvenience and we weren't happy with our stay since nothing really worked. He then says we can get a discount if we claim that we haven't stayed in the tree house and cancel our stay at booking. Considering our bad experience we felt that we want to have the possibility to write a review warning others to not visit this place. We payed him the full amount which was around 30 000 rupees. Later next day when we left to Kochin we received an email that he had written to booking.com that we hadn't showed up for our stay. We were tricked. I guess that shows what kind of person the manager Paul is, a dishonest man.

First of all the access to this place is like finding a needle in a Hay stack. No proper direction. Google maps shows a place which is 10 kms away from the property. Finally when we were close to the place we found the roads were in a pathetic condition. *Please don't use a vehicle with low ground clearance nor should you use the vehicle which are wider than wagon R. Once you reach, please do not expect a cheerful welcome. Forget a average customer service, a bottle of drinking water was not available. They provided it after a long wait. That's just beginning of our most horrible experience ever. For our luck their motor pump was spoilt. At.2.30 pm They said they would repair it in half an hour's time. It got repaired only after 6.00 pm that too after calling the make my trip guys repeatedly. At 6.30 pm we thought it would be better but the water was so brown, we felt that we would definitely contract some disease. We asked them to check the water. the response was that it is clean. This was the final blow to my patience. We tried to complain, but they told us on our face that they are not compelling us to stay. When we told them that it was unethical to tell us that, they responded by saying it was their property and they have all the freedom to tell us that we can move out of their property if we don't like it. Yes it's true, but it would have been right if they had asked us to move out before making us stay till 7.00 pm in the night when there are hardly any other hotels were we could check in. It was a day light robbery and they were not willing to pay us the refund too. Some of my other concerns were there were no toilet rolls and no proper ventilation in the bathroom. There are no fans and they say that the fans are not necessary. Some one need not spend 9,680 per night for 2 rooms in advance to stay in such a bad resort. Instead we can stay in hotels for one fourth the amount. Make my trip had promised me that they will refund my full amount by tomorrow. I hope they do that. Else please please some one advice me on how to go to consumer court. Expats, please be aware that these guys are cheating you. You can get 10 times better service else where for the same price.

Gorgeous property a little distance away from the Munnar town... beautifully crafted and conceived treehouse...the hosts made us feel so comfortable and were a big reason for us recommending the place...The highlight of the place was how immersive and educative an experience our trip turned out to be.. the tea leaves, the pepper pods, bay leaves et all...and varied birdlife to boot

Excellent treehouse experience though slightly outskirts of Munnar. But great place to relax if you want to stay away from the noisy town.Stayed with my daughter. Giant swing was wonderful. She enjoyed playing with rabbits and made friends with the pet dog named Darcil of the resort (4 bubbles)

We booked this place via booking.com - a treehouse for 2 families - 3 months prior to visit on Xmas Eve. However, upon our visit, we found that we are lodged in a normal 2 storey house and not a tree house whose photo was displayed next to our booking. The owner, Paul, defended himself saying that we booked an estate house and not a treehouse despite the fact that the photo was that of a treehouse. We decided to stay as we were out of options late on Xmas Eve. But then we discovered, there were no soap and towels in bathrooms, lights for one of the bathrooms did not work and toilet flushes were out of order. All cabinets were locked and there were suitcases of someone else in the closet. It seemed as if someone was living there and this was not a professionally managed facility. The adjacent grounds were littered with trash and the roof top was dirty. The kitchen was functioning but very dirty with empty plastic bottles on kitchen counter. No provision of clean drinking water either. We had signed up to pay Rs 25k for 2 nights for this property. Upon complaining to Paul, he agreed to provide towels and soap and also clean up but the family was pretty depressed at this point. We felt deceived especially because we had re-confirmed our arrival 4 days prior. To his credit, Paul agreed to cancel the booking and refund our Rs 10K deposit. How we managed to find another place after 8 PM on Xmas Eve in a 98% booked Munnar is another story. I hope the owners take this review in the right spirit and not try to deceive travellers from distant places with lifetime dreams of a Kerala visit in this manner. Advertise your property accurately, clean up the place thoroughly and provide the basic amenities that a standard hotel provides.
