Cosy homestay in an old farmhouse run by a very kind family. Father Joseph runs the beautiful spice- and flowergarden, his son Dileep runs the homestay. Mother and daughter in law run the kitchen. Delicious meals are served in the diningroom, where we met other friendly travelers. Solar panels and a solar heated watersystem , an eco-friendly homestay.

I really enjoyed staying in this wonderful place. My room was spacious and comfortable. It gave on to a balcony where I spent tranquil hours sitting reading and listening to the birds in the garden. Besides flowers, the beautiful garden grows cardamom, coffee, cloves, cinnamon, nutmegs and pepper, and it was great to be shown round and see all these growing. Besides relaxing I enjoyed various activities - a hike up into the hills with a really helpful and interesting guide, a bus journey with stunning views into the town of Munnar and a wander around the town, a visit to a tea plantation. A highlight of each day was the delicious breakfast and evening meals.

The family that runs the homestay is really lovely and took care of us very well. They made sure every part of our trip was easy and comfortable. Tomy's garden was one of the unexpected highlights and we learned and experienced so much just in his garden tour (and he's a botanist so a true expert). Munnar itself was very accessible from this location but we enjoyed plenty of time just hanging out on the balcony as well!

We loved our stay at Rosegardens. Tony, Dileep and family were incredibly welcoming and helpful. Our room was very comfortable with everything we needed. The food was excellent, especially the coconut pancakes for breakfast and the homemade yoghurt in the evening. We enjoyed sitting on the veranda listening to the birds. Tomy's tour of the garden with all its spices was great! Electricity is supplied via solar panels and kitchen waste is used for biogas. Water comes from the spring. Very impressive. More expensive than other places we've stayed at but definitely worth it.

Rosegardens was a highlight of my trip to Kerala. The owners and family are lovely people, very friendly and helpful, the home and gardens are very comfortable and beautiful, and the family style breakfasts and dinners were excellent. I met fellow travelers there and we have kept in touch since. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay in Rose Gardens. Everything was perfect. The entire family ever so friendly and helpful. The rooms very comfortable and spacious. And breakfast and dinner, together with other guests, were a great pleasure. There is a beautiful garden around the house and mr. Tomy very willingly explains his great hobby.

The true essence of a Homestay. Delightful hosts who could not do enough for us. The house had every comfort and excellent Wifi.I enjoyed the cookery class and the new ideas for curries at home. Purified Natural spring water to drink freely and delicious meals at every course. The gardens are beautiful and amazing to see spices growing in their natural environment. Our garden tour was particularly informative. Many thanks to our wonderful hosts.

Probably the best homestay we’ve ever stayed at. Unbelievably lovely hosts, great rooms, beautiful surroundings and scrumptious food. Excellent location for walking and guided tours, all of which can be organised from the property. Munnar is also a really interesting local town and the food there at Rapsy restaurant was a prime example of the best of what local fayre has to offer. Highly recommended!

Fantastic 3 night stay in Jan/Feb 2024. Tomy, Dileep and the rest of the family proved to be fantastic hosts. We couldn't fault the accommodation or the food, which was plentiful and absolutely delicious. The family couldn't do enough to make sure we had a fantastic stay. Thanks very much.

Super lovely, Tomy, his wife and son dileep and family made us feel so welcome. Rooms great, the views from top rooms were stunning. Had a fab garden tour with the lovely dileep who was so knowledgable. The food was delicious and very varied. The walk from munnar into the tea plantation area and beyond was magical. Would highly recommend. Our driver Sabu who took us to and from rose gardens was the loveliest man and nothing was any trouble. Would definitely recommend.
