Finalized this resort based on recent reviews and also seeing that this was a property newly acquired by the current management.Â
We (me, wife and 5 year old son) booked Sunset view jaccuzi cottage for 2 nights. We received a warm welcome by the front desk staff and were given refreshing tamarind tea, the check in was a breeze. It took us less than 5 minutes from arriving at the resort to reach our rooms. We were allotted room 105, the room has a very good view of the valley and also the sunset is clearly visible from the balcony. Also this room comes with a private area to walk around. Me and my wife danced here by playing music in our speaker, we danced like nobody was watching. Our first time in 8 years. The room also comes with 2 beach chairs with headrests. The balcony is spacious for 3 people to sit comfortably. The bed is quite comfortable for a good night's sleep. The bathroom comes equipped with a roof shower, telephone shower and a jaccuzi meant for 1 person. Out in the balcony there is network coverage for Airtel and Idea, but not inside the rooms. There is a also an open terrace.
Over all, our stay was very pleasant and a very memorable one for personal reasons that we cannot disclose here. Our 5 year old son too had a real good time.Â
There is camp fire at 7 pm that goes on till 8 pm, with music. Nice place to hang out.Â
However, what sets this resort truly apart is the exemplary customer service provided by the entire team, especially Ms. Sindhu at guest services who ensured our very best from the previous day of our arrival at the resort till we reached back home after we checked out. I'm truly touched by the gesture of care shown. Also special mention for Ms. Kala from the restaurant for her exceptionally hospitable behaviour. She went over and above to provide for my 5 year old son.Â
Both Ms. Sindhu and Ms. Kala is what sets this resort truly apart.
Suggestions :Â
1. Please include a bigger (42"-55") TV in the rooms.
2. The restaurant seemed under staffed during sunday morning breakfast.Â
3. Would be ideal to include more activities.

This propert is located in a scenic location without any disturbances from the traffic. Also the rooms very spacoius and comfortable with all amneties. Service of the staff is also excellent. We had a great time at the resort. Food needs a little improvement.

We booked this place based on the photos and reviews that we saw in many travel websites. When we reached we were given the top most room (no 105), a sunset villa with a jacuzzi. The view from the room was breathtaking.
The food was good and so was the service. With the price that you're paying (over Rs 10000 a night) the resort should offer a good breakfast spread - but that was missing. Also the authentic Kerala food that we expected was missing. This was a big let down.
There are no king beds as mentioned but 2 single mattresses put together in all the rooms, which looks like 1 big king bed. It was so uncomfortable for my son to sleep in the middle and we had to take an extra bed. I'm sure the resort will look into this and put one king bed so that when families come they wouldn't find the bed uncomfortable.
The room that we stayed in needs some repair work as there was rain water seeping through the wall on the extra bed that we took for our son on 2 nights. One side of the wall, the balcony door and the bathroom door needs to be fixed properly. Work is underway for an infinity swimming pool. Hopefully, a spa too will be a good idea.
We did enjoy our stay except for the constant rains. Not sure if we will go back but this place is highly recommended for people who would want to just chill out, relax and enjoy nature. Having a cup of coffee overlooking the hills and valleys was just wonderful!!!
As of now, I feel this is slightly an overrated place.

We stayed two nights here and were met with the most attentive and kind staff particularly call out Manesh and Arya who could not do enough for us. We took the spice walk around the property when we arrived which was fascinating. Dinner was delicious with almost too much choice. On our final morning we got up before dawn and climbed up to see the sunrise above Mnnar. It would have helped if we had known it would take about an hour to get to the start of the walk which in the dark was pretty difficult if you are not used to scrambling. It was worth it though. On the previous da we had taken a wonderful hike around the tea plantations and saw wonderful kingfishers bulbuls hoopoe grey shrikes and swallows as well as a peregrine falcon on his nest. Bedroom was lovely. Shame no view from the bath.

We stayed at kites resort for a night. The room was very cozy and luxurious. Nothing can top the beauty of the sunrise and sunset from the resort. Another highlight was the wind which was very refreshing. The stay was made more comfortable by the attentive staffs and the food was very delicious. We went for a village walk in the morning where we saw a variety of birds. The resort can be visited if one wishes for a relaxing and peaceful trip.

Very friendly, accommodative with genuine care taken of individuals by the resort staff. They have the policy to promote and employ local talent that provides a touch of local Kerala hospitability in their services and support during our stay. The owner of the property is a brilliant photographer whose art is demonstrated on the walls and rooms. He also supports local wildlife. The location and the view from rooms and surrounding property are beyond words. You can walk into local village and interact with people from the village. Have a great experience if you are planning for Munnar, Kerala by staying in this property.

I had a delightful stay in Haze and Kites. Each cottages are exceptionally beautiful, tastefully done and surrounded by lush green trees and flowers. It deserves a five star in all aspects. The property gives a positive vibe, perfect location and respect for privacy
The hospitality and the food is of top notch. Was particularly impressed by their manager, Mr Manoj and also by the chefs there. The whole staff there is polite, prompt, knowledgeable and take cares of guest wholeheartedly.
We celebrated our anniversary there and the decorations along with candle light dinner setup with cake was above and beyond our expectations.
I will highly recommend to give a visit to this property and enjoy the nature firsthand

We visited Kites Resort as a break from the weekend lockdowns of August. But if you wondered if there those landscape wallpapers really existed, then here is one which really exists. Words aren’t good enough to describe the serenity of the place. This offbeat and premium resort is off the beaten path and located about 18 km away from Munnar. The location of the property is top of hill gives some spectacular view of the green hills and valleys, with clouds floating through. You wake up to sounds of chirping birds and especially keep a ear for the whistles of the malabar whistling thrush. Crickets and Cicada fill in with the rest of the sounds. The property is dedicated to Manoj Narayanan passion for the wilderness, some of his awesome pictures adorn the walls. The Resturant serves up some exquisite and delicious traditional Kerala food.. Definitely worth a short stay for people who need a break.

Haze & Kites is an awesome, serene and fabulous resort at a great location with mesmerizing sunset landscape views exceptionally blended with nature.
