The views from this hostel... wow! Be ready to walk up an insanely steep hill to get there though! I stayed here last year when it first opened and had such a beautiful time and met some amazing people here. All of the staff were super friendly and very helpful. There is a kitchen you can use to cook your own food too and a blender to make smoothies which is nice. At night I saw fireflies for the first time in the trees by the hostel. A hidden gem tucked away in the jungle = paradise! There are also many off-road jungle paths nearby to walk and explore the nature and jungle. I can't wait to return.
I spent there 3 days and met the most amazing people in India. Location next to the center of the town and the hostel is really nice. Exceptional service and amazing people. Recomendable 100%. Also recomendable do the hiking to the tea plantations.
We had a really nice stay here in this hostel. I met very friendly people and You can have a really tasty dinner for only 150 rupees, and Deep(the manager) was really kind with us all the time. Highly recomended
We stayed at The Lost Hostel for two nights during our stay in Munnar - the hostel is in an unreal location which have beautiful views of the mountains on the roof top - just be prepared to walk up a steep hill with your backpack to get to it!! The hostel has a great vibe, very sociable with communal areas on both floors. In the evening they do “family dinners” (which is helpful when we didn’t wanna walk down the hill, find somewhere to eat and then walk back up at night) you sign up for the family dinner before 6pm and the chef makes a nice curry and you all sit together having dinner which was cute - the dinner cost around 150 rupees. The rooms were clean and had a balcony. We came to Munnar to visit the tea plantations which we booked a trekking tour through the hostel which was 800rupees - it included a pretty intense 5 hour trek through the tea plantations and to the top of the mountain which has incredible views! They picked us up from the hostel at 8:30am and the tour finished in Munnar which means you have to get a bus or tuk tuk back to the hostel which wasn’t too bad. Our friend became ill during our stay and the owner was helpful and got her to a hospital and organised taxis for us. I would highly recommend this hostel. …
Lovely clean, sociable, popular hostel with amazing views and the nicest staff (Raju in particular). Munnar is also an amazing part of India. We extended our stay here twice! Family dinner provided every night for guests (at a fair price) and it’s the perfect launchpad for exploring the area.
