Hi, this place is a treat for solo travelers too. However, a few things to keep in mind are - 1) this retreat is located at Pallivasal, near Munnar which is about 5-6 hours drive from Kochi airport. 2) book a taxi in advance. Try to find a good, reviewed taxi operator at Kochi and take a good car like Toyota Innova/crysta etc. 3) if you wish to use public transport, then the only choice would be state transport buses that will get you from Kochi to Pallivasal. Check schedules/availability of Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) buses. 4) the drive from Kochi to Pallivasal is a mix of plains and hills, so it may get a bit nauseous at some occasions. Keep some medication handy. My wife did suffer mildly but it is worth every penny you spend or should I say, the experience here may be worth more. We all loved it !

I don't think they provide accommodation for drivers. However, you could avail of their facility to pick you up on the main road and take you down to the hotel. The road is very steep and narrow and some degree of experience is required to drive on it. That way, your driver could go sleep in town.

I would not advise you to drive down to this resort unless you have an all terrain vehicle like an SUV or a jeep. They do provide jeep from the highway to the hotel and the way down is bit scary as its just like driving down a mountain. You can contact the hotel directly for any such advice.

I believe they have air-conditioned rooms but when we were there in January, we did not need it as the night temperatures were about 16C.
