We were a group of 6 adults and 3 kids. We contacted the property and booked 3 rooms in this resort and stayed for 5 days and 4 nights (between 11th - 15th April'22). This property is located 5-6 kms before Munnar. Our experience with this resort started 1.2 kms away from the property. . We need to take little diversion and its a 1.2kms steep drive to reach this place which would be nail biting but still a thrilling experience. The property people help us by driving our vehicle to reach the resort.. Once you reach you will be welcomed by ever smiling Magesh. He would guide you to the allocated rooms which are big and neat with all the required amenities in place. They offer you complimentary mouth watering breakfast and you would need to pre-order lunch and dinner. They have a good only Vegetarian menu card. Once ordered the food would be served by Ashish (young, energetic and naughty brother). Once you interact with him you will just simply forget yourself and start feeling like home. The taste and qty of food, the way it is served and pricing will literally amaze you.Next comes the Owner of the property Harish and wife who are very humble and would ensure to keep you comfortable throughout the stay. They also organize in-house activities like Bird watching, Meditation and Yoga sessions, those interested may join. Jeep driver Rajendran helped us with the Tea estate walk. Anil and his wife who handles the ayurvedic massage therapies are again very humble and efficient. Overall this place is truly " a Home away from Home" will both management and staffs being the best. If had an opportunity opt for the Tree house cottage which gives you an amazing experience. I would like to stay in property once more given a chance.…
Full marks to the location, facility and people. Harish(Owner) went out of his way to accommodate us though there was lots of rush. On reaching he gave us a briefing of his property and the activities they conduct. They served us a lemon grass juice which was just refreshing after a long journey. The rooms were splendid and had a spectacular view. Apart from him all the staff including Mahesh, Joy, Rajendran and the restaurant staff were all on their toes to ensure that your stay is wonderful. The food was fresh and wholesome, and quite varied even though entirely vegetarian. There were several complimentary activities and he also arranged a taxi for our sight seeing. All in all Harish and the Kaivalyam team made our trip a memorable one.
We were two female travellers who were seeking a relaxing wellness break while on holiday in Kerala. We stayed in one of Kaivalyam's two story tree houses which was so beautiful and comfortable too. The bathroom was well stocked with toiletries and towels. The twin beds were placed at floor level and comfortable to sleep in. There was a balcony where you could sit out and enjoy the lovely view of the spice plantation and the forest. There was portable air-conditioning units however they seemed ineffective as the accommodation was quite spacious. The meals were cooked fresh to order and were delicious. They have a great team of staff at Kaivalyam who were only too happy to assist with everything we needed. We enjoyed the activities including, birdwatching, hiking, and mediation, all of which were provided as part of the package. We would definitely stay here again, next time we come to Kerala.…
The location of the resort gives a breathtaking view. The spices growing inside the resort area and the tea estate make it picturesque. The owner of the resort, Mr. Harish is an amazing host giving personalised attention to the guest and is leading from the front. He has an amazing team for cooking fingurelicking satvik meals and served with passion by Ashish in the resturant. There are activities planned lead by Haish and his team like yoga, meditation, bird watching, spice tour etc. We stayed in the tree house and absolutely no complaints.
Beautiful boutique hotel nestled in the trees and cardamom. Birds abound, tea plantations in the distance, green all around. Harsh and Anjou are amazing hosts of this 16 room hotel. Try the special tree house rooms if you can. A memorable experience. Food is pure veg and excellent, served with a smile. Yoga and meditation sessions with Haresh were wonderful. Spice plantation walk and waterfall walk were lovely. Highly recommended.
My friend and I had really the time of our lives. Stayed in the room with terrace and view on the forest. Food is simply amazing, fresh, all vegetarian. Really congratulations to the chef. The rooms are clean, quiet and very spacious. Everyday, for free, there are multiple activities to do in order to explore the area and every bit of this wonderful forest. The best thing remains the kindness of the staff. This is a place where body and mind can simply relax, and this can happen thanks to the professionality and the passion of every member of the staff. I will definitely come back.
Great stay, and I would highly recommend to stay here for 1 week or longer to really get a sense of the place, and be relaxed and rejuvenated by the end of your trip. The staff is so hospitable and will completely make you feel at home, making this a very memorable experience. Pros: - large and spacious rooms with amazing views of the forest / valley. The dining area has a great view as well. - amazing staff that is very responsive to all your needs. When my geyser wasn’t working too well, the manager got a brand new one installed, and oversaw the whole thing himself, ensuring that it was working well. When I was leaving, they packed me a spice bag which made me feel so special and at home. The hospitality and the great staff comprising of Harish, his wife, Mahesh, Joy are all commendable. - the food is great. It’s all satvik, so def healthy. But Harish’s wife ensures that the menu remains interesting and there are new items to try out for lunch and dinner each day. - extra activities such as Ayurvedic massages (pretty reasonable rates), hikes and walks, tea tasting, yoga, meditation etc are all great. Though it also just a great place to relax and no nothing in nature. - great value for money too, and they offer a very personal experience Cons: No cons from my perspective really, as this is exactly the kind of holiday I wanted. However, if you are looking for a luxury resort / hotel like vibe, then maybe this place isn’t for you. There is also no alcohol, smoking, loud music etc, so if that’s what you are into, pick something else. Since that was not the experience I was looking for, this place perfectly met (and even exceeded) my expectations. I hope you’ll enjoy your stay there too!…
Fantastic resort owner harish ji is very helping , food is also very tasty ,complimentary breakfast is mind blowing . Complementary bone fire , complimentary head massage , overall very nice experience
Stayed in the tree house (family with 2 kids) had great time, the owner is a very nice and interesting person, highly recommend, the room was very special and the all retreat area is beautiful- we hope to visit them again!
So...this was my first trip to Munnar, and due to the pandemic we were little more conscious about the place and the hygiene... As we reached Munnar, the hotel owner arranged a Jeep that will take to the resort from a kilometre away .. (so you can actually drive almost till the end in your personal vehicle). Kaivalyam Wellness Retreat is a 11acre spread in midst of a spice plantation with valley view in Munnar As we reached the resort, Harish Bhai the owner of the resort welcomed us with a fresh juice and warm homely smile. The rooms were alloted immediately upon the arrival that were well sanitized with AC set as per room temperature. The inhouse restaurant Trikaya, serves yummiest Pure Veg Food of South. Breakfast Lunch or Dinner everything is made in home preparation style. They prebook your order so that the food is made only for you with almost zero waste. Ashish is a part of the restaurant team and he makes the best host ever. His affection to serve food makes you feel home. The resort also provides a host of free activities like yoga, bird watching, spice plantation hike, tea garden walk, cooking session, tea testing experience and meditation. Indoor games and library provide added entertainment. This place is a package of Beauty of Nature, Rejuvenation, Hospitality and Tranquility...…
