A lovely place to stay in the Latin Quarter of Panjim, Goa. A beautiful building at the end of a street. Sharon and Roy were great hosts and very welcoming and helpful. We had a lovely spacious room and it was very clean. The location was great for walking around the area. Roy organised taxis for us for several trips which made it all very easy to do. A great stay.
The nicest hotel we have stayed in so far in India. The room was large and very clean. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of items. The owner recommended places to eat and things to do in the area.
This stylish old boutique hotel is at the end of a quiet street, our room was large with 2 double beds a high ceiling and a modern bathroom. Roy his wife and staff were friendly and helpful suggesting itineraries and places to eat. Nice breakfast in the garden. We visited Old Goa one day by local bus (lots of old churches), and the fort Aguada and Reis Magos on the north side of the river by taking a ferry then tuctuc.
Our stay at Hospedaria Abrigo Del Botelho was very pleasant and comfortable. The hosts, Mr and Mrs Roy, were quite friendly and took care of our every need. They even gave us some great sightseeing and restaurant recommendations! Will definitely visit again!
We have just stayed four nights here and enjoyed every moment. The heritage house is beautiful, the rooms are extremely spacious and with very high ceilings, and all facilities were provided and functioned well. Breakfast was varied and of high quality. The highlight of this accommodation was undoubtedly the helpfulness of the staff in general and the willingness of Roy and his wife to help solve travellers’ problems, particularly with railway ticketing. Roy’s advice about day trips and quality restaurants was knowledgeable and readily given. There are many excellent restaurants nearby and they are well worth exploring. We loved our time here and would want to stay here again if we come back to Goa.
This is a brief review to thoroughly recommend Hospedaria Abrigo de Botelho for its great location, cleanliness, comfort, charm, and good management. Communication with our host Roy prior to our check-in was clear, pleasant and prompt. We stayed in a ground floor room which was comfortable and tastefully furnished. The room was cleaned every morning and fresh towels and packaged drinking water were provided free of charge. Roy gave us lots of interesting, customized suggestions for our itinerary in Goa and also gave us crucial information about a strike that affected public transport on the day of our departure. Finally, the breakfasts at the hotel are absolutely wonderful. We didn't feel the need for lunch! I am so grateful to Roy and his wife Sharon for keeping us well-fed and…
There are so many reasons to love HAdB: - it's a beautiful restored Portuguese house with some lovely furniture as well. - the rooms are spotlessly clean and the housekeeping staff cleans them every day. - it's right in the heart of Fontainhas, ideally placed for delightful walks in all directions. - it's just a 7-minute walk from Panjim bus stand, - the breakfast every morning is plentiful and tasty. - the host Roy is a most friendly and helpful gentleman who goes out of his way to make sure his guests enjoy their experience. He not only gave us helpful restaurant and travel recommendations and trail-marked maps to explore Panjim but even dropped us off near the ferry point for our trip to Chorao Island. No surprise that this place has got 5-star ratings all around. Highly…
Hosts are very polite, helpful and welcoming bed is very comfortable, wet room is great, quiet garden reasonably priced laundry service breakfast is varied, fresh and delicious building has been done to a high standard with good quality materials and furniture there is no other place to stay in Panjim it was a great opportunity to speak Portuguese thank you for your hospitality
The room was big and beautiful with high ceilings. The bed was big and had really soft sheets but was very firm. The room was clean and the balcony was perfect for morning tea. The best part was the staff who were very responsive and accommodating. Highly recommend this place as an alternative with more interest and culture than your typical hotel!
