This is a special place, but it was really the people that made it that way. As far as the dorm rooms go, Buena Onda was not any better than average. The dorm room had little air movement, and broken fans cluttered the floor space. After a few days the curtains on the only window fell down, and rather than...

Spent 6 enjoyable nights here in January 2015 with the friendly staff and other travelers. This is a very basic hostel but it makes a good, safe place to call home five minutes outside of West End - the most vibrant part of Roatan. Rooms are kept clean but they are pretty dark and stuffy due to small windows. Common...

Lots of hippie love vibes here. Basic rooms and hostel, but a nice place to socialize with people. Good location - a few places nearby to buy groceries. The mosquitos here are really terrible, so I think the hostel should have better screens on the door. When I was staying here one of the staff members got a fever and...

We were welcomed very well as a group of 12. The owner went to quite some trouble to organize some activities (amongst which the scooter rental). This hostel is just about as fancy as you may expect considering the price you pay. This is not a negative thing per se, just don’t expect great comfort. The rooms were quite dark...

Great location, great prices and the best people. A fun, cool place to stay with great rooms and great common areas. Right near West End, and close to all the great bars, beaches and dive centres. You won't be disappointed.

A good value for the money in a good location. 10 minute walk to beach, bars and restaurants. Kitchen/common area great place to make new friends and get good information as a new arrival. Most important, this place has integrity. Sophie was so kind, understanding and helpful. I left my GoPro camera on the bed above mine when I checked...

good vibes this place is! the woman who manages the place is so great. my friend and I stayed for a week, the dorm was nice enough for the cheap price. the floors are slightly dusty and not a lot of natural light. the locker system was not the most user friendly. however those small things aside, its such a...

That hostel was really nice, mainly because of the way the owner (a Spanish lady) treated her guests. The rooms were all right, they could be bigger or at least with less people inside. Internet connection was good compared to other places in the Island (optical fiber)

Having found this hostel in the lonely planet guide, we thought that this would be a nice budget hostel to stay in one night. However the person working there was incredibly rude, short and uninformative. Not only where the various spiders to be found on our mattresses but the pillows and bed sheets were a palling quality. Our room was...
