Restaurant wasn't open at all during our stay, no wifi, the electricity stopped working a couple of times (on a Saturday) and there was no running water on the Saturday night through to Sunday morning when we left. Good base point for exploring Cape Coast but would look for somewhere else to stay if back for a return visit. Would... More

The place has the quality of a cartoon; everything seems a little unreal. The location is central, and atop a hill but next to the main mosque. I'm surprised this made the guidebooks. Save yourself the trouble and move on. I moved to Mighty Victory which was much, much nicer.

I am really shocked that this place got any good reviews. Either management has changed and the place has really gone downhill recently or, well, someone was paid to do these reviews. The Propect Lodge staff members were indifferent at best, surly at worst. The restaurant was never open, and after coming down for the breakfast that was supposed to... More

Everyone in hospitality along the coast knows Prospect Lodge, and it is generally recommended, which makes me think it is probably your best bet in Cape Coast, and definitely your best bet at less than $25 a night. The only other option that might be worth considering is Kokodo Guest House, though it is not as centrally located. Pros: --... More

The hotel itself is charming and located on a very nice location in town, with a beautiful view over Cape Coast. The staff of the hotel is very nice and helpful. Rooms are average and can be very noisy depending on where you are staying. Our room was located opposite what looked like a bar/dancing, with loud music until 11... More

Will cancel out most sound. Dont have brealfast here, took almost 2 hours for coffee and a ommelet with four... More

Favorite spot on the coast. Super friendly, quiet, wonderful city and sunset views from the deck restaurant and rooms. Easy walk to everywhere. Felt Cape Coast, Africa and not generic backpacker, anywhere in the world.

Graet views is not sufficient to say that it is a good place to stay. I took a room with bathroom but nobody told me that there was no water in the tap. As usually I 've finished with yellow can. During the night electricity went off, so did a fan. Room was not bad-too dark, batroom was big and... More

We were travelling with a friend and stayed 2 nights @ Prospect Lodge. The single room our friend had was miserable and small but he was happy with it, as it was luxury ''compared to what I had up North'' he said cheerfully, meaning Mole Motel. Our double was also drab but bigger. You pay for what you get -... More
