Amazing hotel here in the Red Sea. Great food. Drinks could be improved
The weather for mid January has been so good to us. Hardly seen a cloud all week and has been ranging from 21 to 27 with a UV of 5, which has been so nice and pleasant. Easy to sit in all day without ever breaking a sweat.
And sorry for all the updates but I’m pretty sure I have ADHD so I struggle to switch off even when on holiday, I’m constantly busy, much to the annoyance of my missis but it is what it is! 🤷🏽♂️
This is how I entertain myself abroad!
Anyway, I hope you’ve found the posts useful, informative and even a bit of a laugh, if I help to make just one persons holiday here a little better then I’ve achieved what I set out to do. 🙏🏽
A few things I’ve noticed between this and the sister adults hotel.
At this stage we have no idea what ‘premium’ stands for or gets you here vs the adults only. If anything the service was better there than here and that was already a high bar to meet. The fact there is no draft beer in the premium side vs adults only was a little annoying as I’m a stickler for not drinking from cans, which taste even worse when they decant into paper cups 👎🏽 I have seen grey goose here at premium but that’s not to say it’s not at adults only.
The food both sides been fantastic, same high standard for both, buffets at both pretty much identical and they have the addition of Taj Mahal Indian. We have a peoples restaurant in premium, they don’t. Their salt seafood restaurant also does a la carte lunch where the salt here doesn’t 🤷🏽♂️
These things may well come down to capacity but at the end of the day it’s irrelevant as you can use theirs as much as you like and they can use here. And so easy to get to. Either 15 minute walk down the beach road or wait 15 minutes to get the shuttle bus at the bus stop down by the outdoor gym and pier. Capacity this week is super low. Like I’d imagine 30% here at premium which makes for a lovely almost ‘have the hotel to yourself’ experience when you are at the non heated pools. Even they aren’t too cold to jump in if you have a little bravery!
I would simply compare both and pick the cheaper one (if you don’t have children of course) we did alternate days at both and booked the Taj Mahal Restaurant there.
I think the rooms here on the beach side are worth upgrading too vs the aqua side. All the bars, restaurants, pools , beach , shows and pier are on your doorstep. Never heard the main stage at night. Couldn’t be bothered having to always schlepp accross a busy main road or constantly get the shuttle bus over. I upgraded us to a premium room with full sea view in building 18 (room 18112) and was around £220 more than the deluxe aqua. Money well spent. Ali has been amazing with our room making up cute little flower arrangements.
Spa here at premium is gorgeous and the hammam body scrub was worth the 50 euro. Again due to capacity I had the spa to myself and the hammam room has another beautiful hot tub which faces out the window under the waterfall of main reception. Was quite an experience.
For activities the shows were generally very good. We missed the Queen tribute on Thursday which was a shame and X lounge has only just opened after a few months refurbishment. Never really did any gym classes but loved working out at the outdoor gyms by the beach every morning.
The beach scuba dive at the Jaz Fanara was possibly best scuba dive I’ve done! Super chilled.
For pools, we stayed at the fountain pool the majority and special shout to Mohamed, Beshoy and Ibrahim at the relax bar who were always great and ensured my bottles of Stella and Sakara were always in an ice bucket (they call it ice box) it did get busy there as one of only two heated pools but the lifeguards are super on it with towels on sunbeds. You can’t even go for breakfast and leave them down which is good in a way. The main lagoon pool here at premium was a ghost town which was ace. Two heated swim ups at the fountain and activity pool.
For guests, majority of the hotel has Russian / Ukrainian guests and it was nice to see they weren’t as rude as I have encountered in other Rixos hotels. Maybe that’s just cultural. Not so many brits but that’s cool too.
Every bar was good , the main lobby bar is small for such a huge hotel but you have Taher there who is a proper little chap. Loves peaky blinders and the British accent and practices it a lot!
Of an evening - Mangal was my favourite restaurant (shout out to Mahmoud) Italian good (sorry to our waiter who again was great, but my photo didn’t take properly) Turkish good (shout out to Ali) Indian and Asian great. People’s was nice too. Never tried the French and had the churrascaria at Rixos Premium Magawish, Hurghada which was an excellent Brazilian Rodizio.
So thats 5 Rixos hotels ticked off now
Rixos Premium Seagate Sharm
Rixos Sharm El Sheikh
Rixos The Palm, Dubai
Rixos Premium Magawish Suites & Villas, Egypt
Rixos Premium Sungate, Turkey
We are coming back in spring to tick off the new Rixos Radamis Blue Planet up the road as it looks huge , bigger than these two combined which is great for us as we get bored at small resorts.
We do a lot of 5* all inclusives, and while the Rixos brand isn’t maybe as luxury and high end as the SANI and IKOS resorts, the value for money here far exceeds them.
I will share this summary / review on Google and Trip Advisor too in the hope the staff mentioned are recognised for outstanding service.
Hope you all have an amazing time here, let’s hope the airline doesn’t check weigh us like they check overweight luggage 😆
Until next time…..🍷🍻

Visited the Rixos Premium Seagate Hotel this year for the first time and we loved it!! The hotel is super clean, great pools, nice views, close to the sea and a really good place for snorkelling! The food of the main restaurant (Turquoise) is amazing. So much good Egyptian food and everything fresh. But most of all the staff of the hotel is amazing. They are all so nice and polite and we really became friends. Especially Islam, A. Salama and Zhakaria of the poolbar were amazing. And Hesham, the lifeguard at the pool was great aswell!! Also in the restaurant Hassan was the best and super nice, perfect service, he is such a hard worker and so friendly!! Ali of the beachbar was also so polite and kind! We hope when we come next year that they will be there again! They were the best! The rooms were cleaned really well, minibar was filled everyday and the beds were made with sometimes a surprise on the bed. Super fun!
Would really recommend Rixos premium seagate!
(The only remark that I have was the loud music at the pool so if you want to read a book this is not preferable.)

We had a fantastic stay, all the staff were very friendly and kind even more so when they learnt that we were from the UK. The People’s Restaurant is a great place for an evening meal if you can’t book into a restaurant, we visited the Chinese, French and Turkish restaurants all of which were lovely.
On most days we were the only people at the ‘top’ pool and the pool staff lid out towels for us every morning and checked regularly that everything was ok. We visited the spa the sauna and steam room every evening once the sun had gone down and it was nice end to the day.
The shuttle service around the resort arrives just when you needed it!

First of all would like to mention that we got a standard family room which is not suitable for disabled person, although we sent them a request in advance. They have asked to pay for a disabled room because they were to “full”. Very dissapointed.
Second, due to Covid the staff puts the food into your plate, you always have to request. It’s very inconvenient because some of the dishes are in the closed containers and there are no names what’s in it. The other foods which was visable was always cold. The plates were cold too. Even in the worst hotels in Egypt the plates were extremely hot so the food stays warm at least for a period of time.
Very very busy, too many people everywhere especialy the main buffet. Staff runs like crazy to clean the tables, not everytime comes to pick up the empty plates. If you come to the main heated pool or beach at 10am, almost every sunbed is taken. Beach is to small for such a huge amount of people.
One more annoying thing was the buggies which runs every couple of minutes. If you go on the panton you always have to watch out if its not running behind you and go to the side quickly.
A la carte restaurants booking system very inconvenient! Booking starts at 9am and after a couple of minutes everything is fully booked so you have to come to guest relation and stand in a long queue waiting to book it.
Room was a bit outdated. Looks like the carpet was from the previous century, all dusty and disgusting.
The shower and sink corners got mold in it.
Other than that the staff was always friendly and helpfull, the hotel theritory beautiful, good drinks from the bottles, nice events in the evening, good food in a la carte restaurants (the best was turkish and chineese).
Overall the stay was goodt, but not worth such a high price.

Before choosing the hotel we went through many comments, recommendations and etc, It was really surprising to see more than 4k positive comments about the place, now I know. Staff is really pushing to leave a review, with mentioning their department, which might be still ok.
Location is just perfect: 10 min from airport, sea is really very close, the pontoon is nice, they drive you to diving spot, on the way there are very beautiful and refreshing spots to swim in the sea, with kids as well. Riff area is very beautiful, res sea is really outstanding.
Hotels infrastructure is well thought, main buffet restaurant is close to walk from every hotel building, swimming pools are big, 3 min golfcar drive and you are in the other hotel building with aquapark. Nice area by the sea, sports area, bar, beach - all is really comfortable and nice.
Rooms ( we stayed in 20th building) are a bit old, there are no door in wc and bathrooms, which is extremely uncomfortable if you are traveling with your romantic partner or when you go to wc at night. You’ll fond all amenities in the room.
Super complicated system in booking the restaurants, Id say you’ll get nothing knew in those restaurants, all positions are at the buffet.
The biggest negative point about the hotel is REALLY LOUD. This is so weird, the hotel is considered as family hotel, every second room is with kids, but the noise of music at night is horrible, until 00:00 you sleep (or don’t) ar the disco club. Why? The party area is just in the middle of the hotel, crazy, so each room is partying. That was really a problem and main reason why we are not coming back.
Second negative thing is you should wash yourself all fruits, as staff is not really attentive to changing gloves after touching the garbage bin, or dirty products, stomach problems ob Egypt is not a myth. The hotel should work on training people of following sanitary requirements.
After 5pm there is nothing to do for kids, there is no open playground. The Rixy Club area is poor. It would be nice to have an area for kids by the beach to play in the sand with special toys.
I would love to mention brilliant staff member who never asked for reviews, but were simply getting work done, showing care and good service:
Atif from HSK, working in building number 20 - such an attentive, polite and truly caring team member. Thank you!
Tamer in Tourqouise restaurant is a true professional, has good english and hard-working.
Ibrahim at the grill station in Turquoise restaurant is an extra mile, professional hotel member, that was the best grill vegies I ever had in my life.
Chef Mohammed in Mandala restaurant was very welcoming and attentive.
Yoga trainer Mariam was best yoga expert ever, highly recommend!!!!
Thank you.

Rixos truly added a luxury bit to our holiday in Sharm El Sheikh. We stayed in 2 other resorts during our 21 days holiday in Sharm but we consider Rixos as the best in terms of service, food and general value. The resort is exceptionally well organised and everything is thought about for people to enjoy their time away from busy business life. For example they have showers on the pontoon which was a very pleasant surprise for us we have never experienced before with 5 star resorts. Rixos also has a club car service that takes you around the resort wherever is needed, even to the end of the pontoon for snorkeling in the sea and to their own recently built Aqua Park which is approximately 2-3mins away, a must place to spend time with kids! We would like to express our special gratitude to the Area Director of Culinary, Sercan Yilmaz for the outstanding approach to food served in the resort. And a big thank you to the guest relations lady, Svetlana (sorry if we've got the name wrong) for sorting out our enquiries. Overall we are very happy with our stay and will definitely come back for a longer stay. Rixos Premium Seagate is a magnificent place for a truly unforgettable family holiday! Many thanks to the whole team for taking care of us!

My wife & I have just returned from a 7-day all inclusive stay at the Rixos Seagate. We chose a Premium room to be near the beach front. These modern hotels are vast complexes, so this location put us away from the main swimming pools and nightime entertainment stage with their associated noise/buzz. Getting around is easy as electric carts are constantly moving around to allow you to hop on/off. Everything at this hotel is high standard and the staff are always to be seen hard at work, whether they are gardening, managing towels or serving in restaurants; they are also very responsive and respectful to guests. We went at what is one of the quieter times of the year which was nice, and I think we were the first British guests to return after the Omicron wave (all other guests were Russian or E. European). The room was good and comfortable and the cleaning and servicing excellent. The standard of catering across all restaurants was excellent (credit to Mr Ibrahim the manager) and the staff such as Faddy, who could not have been nicer to talk with. One tip I would give travellers who want to get away from the mass breakfast at the all-day restaurant, is to book breakfast at the Peoples international restaurant, where you can relax and enjoy great table service in full view of the sea, beach and pier. In summary I am so pleased I chose this top hotel and I would certainly recommend it to others seeking a winter sunshine holiday. We hope to return over the years. "Mr Mark"

The service started at the airport. We were met in two separate cars and taken to a hotel. It's very cool when you don't wait for the whole plane to leave. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were accommodated for 5-7 minutes (we went with 10 people) and taken to their rooms. While we were driving, the driver showed us where he was.
The rooms are wonderful. We were immediately given one crib and everything we needed. The rooms are cleaned well, the bar is replenished daily, the quality of wi-fi, in the room, good.
There are many restaurants on site. Very good choice of delicious food, the staff is friendly and polite. We visited a la carte restaurants, I really liked everything. Were in Turkish, French, Asian and Solt (seafood restaurant). We were not all able to visit restaurants, because we went on tours and always had time for dinner) Bartenders and waiters are also very attentive and polite.
The beach is clean. Sunbeds had to be occupied in the morning. If you come at 11 o'clock, you are unlikely to find a free deck chair. Waiters are served on the beach, there is an open-air gym, a football field and a coach conduct physical classes with interested vacationers (if you want, do not bring extra pounds) (. The only downside is the length of the pontoon ...
Entertainment. There is separate entertainment for children and adults. Children rest from their parents in the Kids Clab. There are many options for a child, such as a drawing room, a cinema room, a games room (computer games), a room for very young children, a sleeping room, two children's pools on the street, a football field and a playground. Animators play with children in a variety of games, draw aquargim and more. Adult entertainment is elsewhere. First he conducts a show program, and then the DJ played music.
In general, the holiday was at the highest level! Thanks to the hotel administration and staff, everything was unsurpassed!

I am sad to write this review but it is true. We have visited this hotel last year for Christmas period, it was really great, and we decided to come back this year again for the same period. So I can compare these two periods and I can surely say, that hotel went down.
*Service! Service! Service!: only in Turqouise restaurant you can find completed service, because there works Mr. Mastour. Thanks to him we had great breakfasts and other meals. BUT: outside main restaurant everything changes. Even if you want to eat outside in Turquoise restaurant you will have problems, will be waiting long for your water or drink, they will not take your empty plates and so on. The worst service was by entertainment pool, I was waiting for my drink 2 hours, in beach on show time we left our table few evenings because nobody serves you, in food corner waiters working very slow and only if their manager is looking at them. Very let down.
*Entertainment team girls: they are afraid of guests, dont give you info about evants of the day, there was a feeling like you have only 2 entertainers and that is it. Girls are invisible.
*Evening shows. The biggest disappointment comparing with last year. Everything was bad organized, all week they were building a scene only for 1 night show. Last year they had big shows 2 evenings, now only 1 and not impressive. I asked why and was told these concerts cost too much for hotel, but if you are luxury hotel you can find ways. We have got good places to seat to see the show but I could not normaly see show because hotel staff wanted to see this show also and I had to see to their backs! Look at picture.
*Teenager club??!! It was closed all the period, we wanted to play billiard, playstation - was not possible.
*Reception incompetence. They need training because they do not know a lot of things about hotel and so on.
*A la carte booking system. Very stupid. You have to wait in a row from 9 a.m. If you are late 5-10 min you will not get restaurant. We have visited only 3 restaurants, when we were standing in a row from 8:50a.m. Later was all booked.
I think this hotel become cheaper (but we paid the same price like last year). I can see that from guest contingent, last year it was different. And in some parts hotel cutted their costs on the guest account and now we have worse shows, worse service and other things.
For next our holliday we will not return, we will go to their competitor Steigenberger Alcazar. Very sorry

Wow where do I start with this hotel. Travelled out to celebrate my 50th birthday, I have visited Sharm over 30 times as a frequent scuba diver. Normally used the Hilton at sharks bay bit was disappointed after trip earlier in the year. I looked about and had heard about this hotel seen great reviews but they don't do the hotel justice. From the moment you arrive to the moment you depart you are treated like royalty. No plastic wrist band a leather removable one is issued. Reception was just the start taken to our room and so much space to put thing, your slippers , dressing gown all there waiting every toiletry you would ever need and mini bar stocked and ready. the mini bar restocked every day. The main restaurant was was very big with so much choice pizza, sea food, Turkish Kebab freshly cut, salad, vegetarian, so many deserts and ice cream, The kids had there own area with there own food laid out to help themselves make them feel special as well. The restaurant is open so many times early morning , lunch, dinner and then late dinner till 2am if you go hungry its your own fault. Waiters keep the tables clean and bring you drinks, Chiefs monitoring the food and ensuring its kept toped up, In addition there are a number of other specialised restaurants you have to book on app majority are free think it just the sushi you pay for. There are snack bars during the day by the beach serving all by the beach area. The staff can not do enough for you , all the pools are amazing and the whole site is spotless and very well maintained. There are golf carts used as buses to take you about site save walking. Several pools on main site are again spotless and warm, The bus will also take you to the other side where the water park is it goes under the road to keep guests safe and the water park is fun for all with its own food hall. The towels do not require towel card and are changed on request as frequently as you want. lots of slides for all ages kept spotless . the waterpark side is smaller with a smaller restaurant but all guests can use any restaurant same great service no matter where you go. Premium drinks are part of the all inclusive and my gf was shocked at free red bull, the only issue is once you go there you will never want to go to another hotel in Sharm.

What is the difference and/or best and for what reasons…
The aqua side is next to the slides and the main one nearer the beach. You can get a buggy to reach either side or walk over. More restaurants on the main side
