I stayed here two nights in a room with 3 beds. The hotel grounds are very nice with great views of the mountains. The rooms are well appointed with a nice fire each night to keep the cold out. Beds are comfortable. The main hotel lodge is very nice with old paintings and lots of character. The staff is very...

My wife and I visited Otavalo in July and stayed at Las Palmeras Inn. I highly recommend Las Palmeras. The wonderful hotel is very near Otavalo, just a few minutes drive into the hills to the west. This is an optimal, central location from which to explore all of Imbabura--including Otavalo, Cotacachi, Laguna Cuicocha, Lago San Pablo, and much more....

Beautiful and charming mid-priced hotel with amenities and ambience that seem more high-end. This is a great base from which to explore the beautiful Imbabura province and other parts of Ecuador. Conveniently located in the hills above Otavalo which is the location of one of the largest indigenous markets in South America. It was very easy to catch the bus...

From the time we arrived--until the moment we left, no request was left unmet. The property is stunning. We rented a house for the week. Each night, the staff lit fires in each of our 3 fireplaces. Additionally, we were given hot water bottles for our beds. WOW- Las Palmeras Inn takes customer service to a whole new level. One...

Beautiful haciënda with a lot of pro's: the garden with the lama's, the historical building, the nice restaurant...but there are also some downsides: it is a very, very long walk to the center of Otavalo (to be honest: you need a car), and the rooms are quite basic and dark (altough very clean). And if you don't like to be...

I'm so glad that you enjoyed the garden with the lama's, the historical building, the restaurant but there is no need for a car; local buses (10c per person) leave regularly for Otavalo and elsewhere and Reception can call a cab ($5). Many guests enjoy the downhill walk in particular. Guest room information states that log-fires (and hot-water bottles) are...

Otavslo is a small town 1 hour north of Quito so if you don't have to stay there drive back to Quito. The hotel (lodge) is located outside the town. The hotel is located in a nice tropical garden, At the main building there is a dining are and couple of rooms the other rooms are scattered in the garden....

I spent a month there this spring and had a great time. The location is gorgeous and the staff and so friendly and helpful. Save some time in your Ecuador trip to visit here! I've stayed in many of the cabins over the years and am never disappointed.

During the winter 2014, I spent two weeks at Las Palmeras. In the winter 2015, I rented a house on the premises of the hotel and spent three months and a half there. If you are looking for a quiet hotel not too far from Quito to rest and get rid of jet lag before undertaking a few weeks of...

Definitely not worth the trek nor taxi ride up the mountain, decent staff, horribly over priced "gringo pricing" is in full effect! Nice dogs, really friendly! Just your tipical , over pricing. Not terrible, just not a value.

This unique review which lacks any specifics, or reference of any kind, e.g. names of staff, or dogs, guest room number/type, meal content or guest room prices, extensive gardens, etc., required considerable research. A very frequent bus ride from Otavalo to Las Palmeras Inn costs approximately 10 cents and a taxi ride for 3 people, approx. $5. Because of the...

My husband, I, and two of our friends, Ken and Hanna stayed at Las Palmeras Hacienda for 4 nights. We wished we' ve booked the hotel for longer. The property is beautifully kept, serene, and inviting. The staff, together with the manager, are friendly, accommodating, helpful, always smiling, they make you feel at home. Food is excellent, we ended up...
