We spent an interesting few days in this wonderfully remote and peaceful location surrounded by birds, waterfalls and cloudforest. Sandy and her team are very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna and local life, having lived there for many years. Facilities basic but comfortable, with delicious food, and nothing was too much trouble to sort out. Do try it out!

The Intag Lodge is an incredible place to get introduced to the cloud forest and the Intag region as a whole. Carlos Zorrilla, the owner and operator, offers profound insight into the ecology of the area and the culture of the Intag region. The lodge serves incredible local dishes, and almost all of the ingredients are grown right on the... More

I stayed at the Intag Cloud Forest Reserve with a class from Cornell University for four days, and it was a wonderful experience. The food was vegetarian and delicious, and the cabins were cozy and comfortable. There were single rooms, as well as rooms that could accommodate 4-8 people with bunk beds (wifi was available in the common area near... More

Everything about the Intag Cloud Forest Reserve lodge is great. It is in a beautiful area, surrounded by cloud forest and hiking trails to explore the unique ecosystem. Accommodations were quaint rooms in three different wooden houses dispersed throughout the woods. There is an amazing view from the yard/gazebo of the mountains that are usually shrouded in mist. Perfect place... More

I would wake up from the beautiful cabins and be in midst of a cloud forest. I would take hikes in the early morning down to the waterfalls and learn about the forest through Roberto's expertise. Don Carlos has a lot to teach about the mining conflict in Intag and learning more about it was a highlight of my trip.... More

I visited this lodge on a class trip for Cornell University students and had an absolutely great time! The views were absolutely amazing, the people were kind, and the food was vegetarian and delicious. Nature walks in the forest were absolutely amazing, the river system and sights from the top of the hills were totally crazy. As a birdwatcher, I... More

This ecolodge is truly beautiful. The lodge itself is handsomely crafted, quaint, and has a wide selection of hammocks to relax in. The beds are uncommonly comfortable. The service is great; the food is made to accommodate the native culture of the travelers, which is a pleasant surprise if you've been traveling for a while. They even have nutella! The... More

This place was literally amazing. Located in the heart of a cloud forest, the nature surrounding this place is epic. On top of that, the living situation is very comfortable and the food was amazing, the best i have had in ecuador.
