Everything positive you may have read about this place is true. What luxury, originality, quirkiness and downright indulgence. Beautiful artwork, weavings, grounds and gardens, and a really lovely HUGE room with a fireplace...this was lit at night (very nippy here even in June late evening...) and a hot water bottle put in my bed....and a wonderful surprise of gorgeous horses...

We spent two nights here. It was part of our tour, so I had no idea that we would be staying in such a wonderful piece of history. Loved the grounds. The food and service was good. I kept feeling like I was in a Gabriel Garcia Marquez novel. This is an older property, so be ready for a few...

This is a huge enormous old haciena on the outskirts of Otavalo. The room we had was immense (possibly 800 ft square) and decorated for the 18th century. The grounds are beatiful and well maintained and the restaurant is reasonable (nothing to write home about, and not excessively priced). The main building requires some significant renovations (the bath was old...

This is a large stately hacienda on a lovely property with ancient trees. Meals were good, enjoyed the band, great welcome drink. Fireplace was lit for us after dinner when we returned to our room with hot water bottles tucked into our beds. It gets cool here in the Andes - snow was on the higher elevations in the morning....

What a fabulous surprise to visit this wonderful property. Due to flight delays, we arrived on a bus after dark with our tour group and didn't have a chance to really appreciate the grounds upon arrival. We were delighted when we turned the key and walked into our large room beautifully decorated with authentic period furnishings. The room featured two...

What can I say - this is an amazing property - one of the most unique and wonderful that I have experienced throughout my travels. The hotel, the hallways, the rooms and the history of the place - they all come together. We travelled here with our sons (ages 12/14 at the time) - they had an amazing room where...

We did a day trip from Quito to the Indian Market in Octavalo that included lunch. We were pleasantly surprised at the lovely grounds, view, and food service here. 3 courses were included. Several of us orderd a shrimp avocado salad that was huge and wonderful. It was a meal in itself. I tried Lorca soup which uses their yellow...

Not to miss! This place is a piece of history and incredibly beautiful. The garden is a lush paradise complete with their own peacocks, and the view is even better. We went horseback riding through the mountains on their lovely horses, which gave us a unique view. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. they started a fire in our...

My husband and I recently visited this Hacienda for lunch. The service was flawless and the food was superb! After lunch we toured the grounds (which are beautiful) and then were given a brief history of this amazing hotel. I cannot wait to return to both Ecuador and this enchanting Hacienda.

We stopped here for lunch on our way from the Otavalo Market back to Quito. The main building and the grounds are stunning. Our lunch was delicious and the service was impeccable. If I ever have another opportunity to go to Ecuador, I'm staying here.
