This place made a fantastic first impression on me upon arrival. It is nicely decorated, alternative, in the center of town with a great view, the two owners or responsible persons were very helpful in showing our rooms- but they were virtually never there. The other staff members have no clue about the service and their management is the worst...

Dear Superpuma, Your comment left me clueless. I cannot talk about the specific events that happened during your stay but I can tell you about our Standard of Service: - All our staff is fully bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish. - Our staff goes through a very tough 20-hour training period. I am myself direct their training, and let...

Stayed 2 nights recently before our trip to Galapagos. Friendly service in a homely hostel environment. The receptionist was helpful in arranging taxi to airport but unfortunately gave slightly misleading info re taxi having a proper meter, when we asked abt the fare. Turns out it is an unmarked taxi and thankfully, we were charged reasonably afterall ( only a...

Dear Guest: The air conditioner in the White Room was recently changed for a new one. I apologize for the noise you had to bear. The taxis we use for our guests are not yellow but we screen them. Actually, these taxis, locally called "Ejecutivos" (meaning something like "Corporate") usually provide better service and use taxi meters -unlike yellow cabs....

You guys must be joking. "Boutique Guesthouse"? This is a youth hostel with some private rooms, no more, no less. You might be able to rip off passing-through tourists with this nonsense, but anyone who understands what value for money is in Ecuador will not be impressed. (I have lived in Ecuador three years and travelled all over the country,...

Dear Guest: In Spanish we call ourselves "boutique hostal", but in English, a hostel is not the same as a hostal. In English a hostel is a youth accomodation site, but in Spanish a hostal is a small hotel with a more relaxed vibe. The closest translation we could find to the type of accomodation we could offer is "Guesthouse"....

We stayed here for over a week while waiting for our car to be shipped from Panama. This is a busy place but staff were unfailingly patient and helpful with our requests for help, including referral to a doctor. The staff spoke English well. We stayed in 2 different rooms, each with unique design, and they were comfortable and pretty...

The location is amazing given the Malecón is the central attraction in Guayaquil and the hotel is right on it. Lovely decor and room. Got a deal on Expedia for a superior room which was lovely. Big, funky and comfy. Only complaint was we missed breakfast, not because of sleeping late, but because it didn't start until 9 and we...

The atmosphere in the hotel was tranquil and harmonious, w. buddhist type of deco and lovely rooms. The pearl of the place was its staff. They went all out to solve our problems, to help us find a good dentist and to try to make our stay as nice as possible. I would defennetly go back.

My wife and I stayed at Manso twice on one trip. We flew into Guayaquil from the US and spent our first two nights at Manso. We then went to the coast for ten days. When we came back to Guayaquil for our return flight we returned to Manso because of the friendly, helpful staff and the nice atmosphere at...

This place is on a main street facing the river which is awesome and makes it nearly impossible to get lost in the city looking for your place. This was one of the first things I really liked about the place. Upon entering, they really did a interesting, but great job with decorating. There is a Hip/Modern feel that you...

Dear Guest: Everytime a guest leaves our place we ask them to fill out a customer satisfaction survey. When they are in a hurry to leave we email it to them. The feedback we get from that method is amazingly useful. The feedback we got from your end was useful to solve a problem, because these days we were testing...

Pros - Right on the Malecon and near to the local market - Breakfast, WiFi, AC, Hot Water included - Clean and cozy - Nice food in restaurant Cons - Noisy...it's on the main street and this is a given. However, with the double windows and AC on, the noise is extremely diminished. - Breakfast is basic: one egg, one...

Dear guest, thank you for taking the time to review us. I am sorry you didn't like our breakfasts. Let me tell you, in the past we used to offer a nice fruit salad with yogurt and granola but most guests didnt eat it, so we figured out that juice was more popular so we switched it. We have analyzed...
