We did a 3 day trip to the Amazon jungle. The rain forest itself was amazing. I was disappointed that I didn't see more wildlife. I did see 6 different types of monkeys. And a few tarantulas. There were pink dolfins they weren't really pink. I also saw a sloth and an anaconda. Except for the anaconda everything was very...

We spent 2 very cool days (4 days in total, but first and last are spent to come and leave the lodge by boat). Best part was definitely swimming in the lagoon for me. Visiting the communities was also quite interesting.

We chose Jamu Lodge because of its price - much cheaper than what we found elsewhere. Our guide Pedro was good - very knowledgeable about the local wildlife but did sleep through part of one of our evening boat rides so we missed the sunset. The lodge is very basic but was clean and well maintained. It is next to...

Me and my wife stayed here for 3 nights, 4 days. It was appropriate time. The stay, staff and location was fantastic. Nothing like we expected but better. The food was some of the best we have had in Ecuador. The guides was enthusiastic and quite knowledgeable. Gave a whole new picture of the jungle.

This place is a 2 hour ride down the river from the entrance of the Cuyabeno reserve, the social areas are big enough to accommodate all the guests they have a bar area and hammocks. The three foods are included in the rate and they serve plenty and delicious food. Our guide Galo was very charismatic and knowledgeable, don't hesitate...

Having read such glowing reviews I was most surprised with a recent poor experience. Several others felt exactly the same but I must admit none of us complained. The central problem was that except for the day of my arrival no other day met the promised itinerary. A promised 3 to 4 hour track was 1 hour. Every excursion left...

I strongly recommend booking a flight on TAME to Lago Agrio months in advance. You can take advantage of the 'promotional' price (around $45 round trip) and save yourself hours and hours of riding on a bus. Jamu Lodge provided us with a taxi that was definitely in keeping with the jungle experience as it was a pickup truck taxi...

My partner and I stayed at Jamu for 4 nights this January. It was amazing! The staff was very friendly and our guide, Sulema, was knowledgeable and just a fantastic guide. The food and accommodations were great too. The accommodations are glam-rustic but I like that sort of thing. I highly recommend this lodge if you are looking to stay...

I really enjoyed my time at the lodge. It was a comfortable place to spend a few days, the food was great and the staff there were really freindly. Our guide Veronica was pretty good too, very knowledgeable and informative. I particularly enjoyed the night walk. The only part of the itinerary I didn't like was the shaman visit, which...
