We stayed in this hotel in September for 2 nights & stayed in large room (with sitting area) overlooking the gardens & sea. It only takes 10 minutes to walk into Porec. We hadn’t realised that the rate (very reasonable) included half-board & initially were concerned knowing it would be An evening buffet. We were very pleasantly surprised as both the selection & the quality of the food was excellent. The buffet breakfast was also very good with a lot of staff preparing fresh food for each guest.

We chose this hotel because it had parking for a car we hired. We didn't know they charged by the day for parking. The actual hotel was clean and had everything one needed physically. Foodwise previous reviews have said "there was always something you could eat" - which is a euphemism for menu being biased towards German food.

Drinks were hideously expensive, born out by the fact that there was hardly anyone in the lounge drinking.

The hotel has solved the problem of how to stop people putting towels on loungers to reserve them. Make the loungers so uncomfortable that very few want to sit on them!!

We chose this hotel because of its proximity to The Old Town - a pretty coastal ten minute walk to the peninsula. Check in at the hotel was speedy and efficient - our room was ready even though we arrived well before check in time. We had a huge room with a balcony overlooking a very pretty garden area. The room was clean with a spacious en-suite and plenty of storage for clothes and suitcases. I had emailed ahead to request tea/coffee making facilities - and these had kindly been provided.

The buffet food at breakfast and dinner was delicious! Lots of choice - including some local Croatian dishes. The fish was particularly good because it wasn't cooked and then left in warming dishes to become dry and tasteless. Cooking stations allowed fish and other foods to be freshly cooked (to perfection) on sizzling hot plates. Waiters were attentive and able to recommend wine and beers - all drinks very reasonably priced (46 kunas for 2 small glasses of delicious Rioja). Occasionally it was difficult to find a table in this busy restaurant - the restaurant manager (Petar) was always ready to assist.

The pool was well maintained - a little chilly at this time of the year (October) but once in - a great swim! Around the pool are sun loungers and parasols. The spa has a sauna and steam room - massages, pedicures etc can purchased.

Thank you to all the smart, professional, efficient, knowledgeable, friendly and hard working staff. We will definitely be back!

Pretty much the same as uk hotel prices. Expensive compared to Spain, Canaries etc, but not crazy prices.
