You can take a bus from the airport that will get you to the port area. You have two options to get to the island... ferry or catamaran. In my opinion it is not a question of cost, rather where they land and how long it takes to get there. The ferry does not go into the city but the catamaran does, and the catamaran is much quicker. Take the catamaran.
