By far the most spacious and well kept and comfortable accommodation I ever had in that price category as well as from other similar organizations. Huge windows, at night no sound (party throwers were understandable and shut their windows; a 360 degree view on top the flat roof; free WiFi, all amenities, also fridge, everything in perfect state. The staff...

Rainbow Nest is nestled in between the happening Renmin Lu and the quieter streets of old town. It's not too far from the gates of the old town which makes walking to tourist sights such as Cang mountain and 3 pagodas accessible by foot. Across the street there's a really nice cafe run by two gentlemen and a music pub...

I couldn't believe the size of the room for the price. One of the best hostels I've stayed in so far. Rainbow is a great host and extremely helpful getting you around yunnan. I've yet to meet anyone as friendly or genuine while living in china. She got me from the bus station to the hostel and she got me...

We stayed a total of almost three weeks, and found this to be one of the loveliest places we have ever stayed in China. Its far more like a homestay than a guesthouse/hotel, with plenty of amenities to enable you to really kick back, a friendly atmosphere and a quiet courtyard. The rooms are actually suites, with a living and...

Rainbows Nest was a great place to stay. Not your usual guesthouse, but more like having your own place while going about your business. The apartments are basic but well appointed, comfortable, clean and quiet. Spacious and light. You can enjoy the occasional company of other guests/ semi-residents in the communal courtyard. Shops, restaurants and bars are a stone-throw away.The...

I liked Rainbow’s Nest so much in 2011 that I returned again in Oct. 2012, this time for 23 days. I traveled with two friends (three retired seniors) so we rented a two-bedroom apartment on the first floor facing the peaceful garden, fishpond and the sunny courtyard. The courtyard was a place to sit in the sun and also a...

While small with only a handful of units, Rainbow's Nest is quite unlike any other guesthouses you'll find in Dali. Aside from being very clean, tranquil and located near the center of the old town on a quiet street, the typical atmosphere is more like a small community than a guesthouse. Rainbow is the sincere, honest and very helpful owner...

We spent 2 and half month's here. We really enjoyed the traditional Chinese courtyard, the comfortable environment and the other friendly guests staying there. It has a very homely and relaxed feel in a prime location just far enough away from the bustle of the busy tourist streets. The apartments we stayed in were clean and equipped with a basic...

Rainbow´s nest is the best place we have ever stayed at. The location is perfect, everything you need is near, and situated in a quiet part of Dali old town. The apartments are all very clean, neat, beautifully decorated and soo comfortable. The courtyard is a nice place to hang out, with a relaxing fountain. The owners are very helpful...

Rainbow's nest is a very cosy nest, a prefect place to stay. This is a traditional Chinese house with a beautiful courtyard. My 9 years old daughter loves to water the flowers, feed the goldfish, and draw her pictures on the big wooden table in the courtyard. The owners, Rainbow and Mark, are so helpful and friendly.
