The setting of the hotel is beautiful: on a hill within trees and gardens (makes for fresher air). The dimensions are truly that of a government guest house. While it feels as if having been built in old communist grandeur times, it is indeed only around 15 years old but looks a bit "worn" at places and rooms could benefit... More

The hotel is located in the middle of a mountain, cross the river, is the Longmen grottoshas. It has beautiful gardens and trails. The food at the hotel restaurant was delicious and good price. The service was excellent. I lost my purse, the hotel helped me call the places I went, and found it for me.

While this hotel might work if it is part of an accompanied group tour, it doesn't work well for an independent traveler. The front desk service is terrible - 15 minutes to acknowledge your presence "Are you checking in?" then another 10 minute wait. Almost all the facilities were closed: Neither indoor nor outdoor pool were open (or even filled),... More

This is a 5 star government guest house. We choose it because of its proximity to Longmen Grotto, walking distance. The hotel provides free shuttle to the foot of the hill where the hotel entrance is and the local shuttle will bring you to the ticket booth for RMB5 per pax. This paid shuttle also picks visitors who park their... More

This hotel is situated across from the Longmen Grottoes. In addition to its wonderful location, the hotel was friendly and had excellent facilities, including dining and sports center. The only points that I would improve would be to hire more personnel with English skills and to extend the hours of the sports center. It now opens at 3 PM, which... More

This is a hotel for gov retreat so the landscape and set up is grand but the 5-star is not. The rooms are small and smokey, the bathroom is smelly, and the service is costly. The view room has a mini. charge of 99 yuan, so a cup of coffee costs 60 yuan. The problem is Luoyang is behind in... More

没得顶 ! "洛阳的钓鱼台国宾馆" ! Go to the hotel's viewing veranda on the 4th floor at night, and absorb in the night view of Longmen Grottoes. The hotel is sitting on the opposite bank of the river from Longmen Grottoes. It has hosted Chinese and foreign leaders like Putin, Hu, Jiang, Chiang, and many others. Staying here for 2 days would... More

The location of the Hotel is absolutely incredible... from the terrace on the 4th floor (building 5), you have an amazing view on the main attraction of Luoyang: the Longmen grottoes. And the Hotel is in walking distance from the grottoes as well as one of the nature parks in the area and a temple. If you plan to use... More

This resort is mainly a government retreat. The property is beautifully maintained, tranquil, peaceful and located 5 minutes from the Longmen Grottos. This was our last spot after 30 days and we were looking forward to a relaxing stay. The rooms were immaculate and nicely appointed, BUT the beds were hard as rocks. We had seen reviews for hard beds,... More

Based on the tripadvisor reviews we booked two nights at this hotel. We were traveling with our three children ages, 6, 8 and 10, and my in-laws (in their 70s). We had a reservation, and called the day of to confirm. We were told that our three rooms had been reduced to two, but other than that, everything was okay.... More
