The hotel is pretty much a standard hotel catering the few western tourist that venture around this place. Its mostly oriented for the chinese top travelers, hence it is very chinese in its facilities: breakfast, services and ammenities. Staff are very friendly; nevertheless, if you don't have a phone number getting access to the internet might be a hazzle. Other...

Centrally located so that you are within walking distance to the shops, restaurants and night market. Exterior of the hotel is nice. Interior is above average. Rooms are good size with a nice bathroom. The shower heads are not the best and should be replaced in some rooms. Water came out of only about 1/3 of the holes. The staff...

It was very hot so we switched from another five star hotel to this one because this had a good swimming pool. We actually took a small tour of hotels with swimming pools listed for Dunhuang in trip advisor and found this to be the only serviceable one. One hotel even said they had one but didn't. Another had a...

The hotel is attractive as are the large rooms. I found it quiet, with a good central location, and the AC worked, but there was little hot water at night for a shower, the towel had holes and was falling apart, the old tube TV was hard to operate, the internet was pretty slow, the coffee at breakfast was barely...

It's a good place to recover after some desert trips. Nice location in the center, very close to the river and close to the city center. But it's more a business hotel than a holiday hotel. We were very surprised that just a few people spoke english.

This is a typical tourist hotel that caters for large tour groups where most will stay for a night or two. My Iocal driver said it is the best in town but I would rate it 4 stars to manage readers' expectation. The rooms were smaller than the typical 4/5 star local hotels but well decorated, depending on your taste....

The location of the hotel is great. Near the river. Central. One of the few tall buildings. The lobby is grand big, waiters are friendly. Room and service are all OK. But not really qualify 5 star. I am satisfied, as this is is in DunHuang, a not so big city. The toliet flush was not working well. I repaired...

The first impression was a good one: huge lobby, friendly staff, everything I would expect from a five star hotel. However, once we got our room, we were really disappointed. Our room was on the second floor and when we looked out the window, there was nothing but a big white wall blocking all view. Basically it was like a...

Excellent breakfast buffet with items labelled in English and Chinese. Good location. Only issue was I had a non-smoking room yet an ashtray and matches were in the room (as was the case with most non-smoking rooms I had in China) but no smell of cigarettes. Comfortable room. Would stay here again.

One of the best hotels in town! Really loved the stay here and the BUFFET BREAKFAST! The decoration pieces are richly cultural and the services are excellent. One example: I felt tired and cold at that night and asked for a small barrel so that I can give myself a little foot massage with hot water. I dialed the phone...
