Upon arrival I was met by the host who was most helpful with information on the various tour companies for day trips in the area considering my limited time there. It was very safe, clean and quiet for me as a lone female traveller. Having the use of one ot the property bicycles was most appreciated considering the distance to...

The hostal itself is situated a 5 min walk from the main street Caracoles where all the restaurants/shops/travel companies are. It's ideally located I believe - peaceful & quiet but not too far from the hustle & bustle. The rooms have been given an upgrade - a fan in the room for summer & heater for winter, new bathroom sink,...

The place is clean, the beds are very comfortable, the breakfast is typical Chilean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It's onus 5 min. walk from the bus terminal and 12 min. to Caracoles which seems far for San Pedro but it was no problem for us. For some reason it's a bit pricey compared to similar Hostels around.

I enjoyed my stay in Solor. The owner is very friendly and helpful and we could even stay the entire day of checkout in the room for no additional charge. It is quiet since it is located a bit out of the centre, but you can easily walk there. There are also free bikes available.

People here were really friendly. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable. But since it quite far away from the Main street, it is a bit to expensive in comparison to other hostals close to the caracoles Street. You can get better deals there with better breakfast hours

Very clean, simple but good breakfast, very quiet location and only 10 minutes walk from the city center. But we wouldn't stay in this hostel again because it was little expensive and because we felt like didn't have lots of privacy. The owner opened our windows while we weren't at home because she told us we have to open it...

Sylvia was an absolutely excellent host from the very start of our booking. She responded to emails and when we arrived on the overnight bus from La Serena, she met us at the bus terminal and took us to Hostal Solor. That nice touch was very much appreciated.  The room was just what we needed and it also had heating...

I booked a triple room from the UK using Paypal for the deposit. Very easy to do. The room was large enough for the three adults and the bathroom was also good. Breakfast was fine and our host was very accommodating. We can get by in Spanish but those who cannot may find it a little more difficult although every...

After looking for several options, we finally decided to book a room at Hostal Solor.
