The staff here care about their customers. From the moment we arrived they were smiley and helpful and when a tour agency let us down the beautiful lady on reception made some calls and rescued our day. The communal areas are relaxed, colourful and conducive to conversation. Ok the bedding is dated but Town centre is a very short walk...

This isn't the newest hostel, but is well maintained and has a great vibe. Since I was here during low season I had a 4 bed dorm for myself. What is luxurious after sharing the room for months with at least two other people. The included breakfast is 'served' at a cost communal table. Besides they are giving you info,...

I have been backpacking for a year and a half and I've stayed in many a grim hostel. The fact that this place is fairly clean is really the only thing going for it. I'm all about earplugs, but no earplugs can withstand the horrors of this establishment. The party went on until well after 3am, with the heart of...

Hostel has potential however while the staff don't obey their own rules it will never be great. Stayed here for two nights. On both nights while the music downstairs was meant to be switched off by 11pm and everyone go upstairs where there are no guestrooms it remained on past 12.30. When I checked.both nights it was the staff and...

I'm in two minds about this place. When we first got here, they accommodated us into rooms even though we didn't have a booking. They gave us a map, showed us where to go and showed us the facilities. There is a rooftop terrace, bar/tv room, kitchen, and courtyard. The rooms are reasonably good, although they do get hot at...

I stayed here for 5 nights on a trip around Chile. I found the staff here to be very easy going, friendly and helpful. I stayed in a room just next to the kitchen and courtyard area - it got a little noisy but that's to be expected in a hostal, I didn't find it to be too noisy. The...

Checked in here, after staying at their (almost) neighbors at Andes Hostal where there was a miscommunication about my reservation (overbooked). In Aji Verde the staff is more pleasant and easygoing. Moreover they have this nice view on the city. The bed was very comfortable and clean. Other facilities were all right. The price is about the same. I liked...

Made a reservation on booking.com for four nights. A few days before our scheduled arrival we were told that our room was now double booked for the first night and we would need to seek an alternative. Then in a second communication we were told there had been an "error" in the original quote and the cost for the remaining...

This is the first time I leave such a low rating review, but I'm sorry I have left with no choice. With signs on common area saying to be quiet after 11 am, the guests seemed to ignore it, nor the staff to stop them. They turned the music "extremely out loud" since 10 pm and turned the hostel into...

Good location, very handy to catch a bus to the Elqui valley, just around the corner, and 10 min walk to the centre. Nice common areas and good breakfast. The walls are super thin and you can literally hear EVERYTHING, from the doorbell to noise in the street. My room was located directly above the dining area and if there...
