You are close to everything here and some of the English speaking guides hang around just outside the hotel. Stayed in dorm, very small and with one shared fan for four beds. Bathroom OK. The place is a bit run down, but for USD 2 it is excellent value for money. I changed to another place due to the lack...

The best thing about this hotel is the Tuk Tuk driver out the front called Samol (Tel: 092563957). Samol took us for a 10 hour full day itinerary that we worked out together that cost only $15US. Definitely one of the outstanding experiences of the whole trip. The hotel was $10 per night which was pretty good, the bed was...

Chhaya was a suitable place albeit loud due to the funeral going on downstairs for three days straight. Dorms decent and clean. No atmosphere but hey, it's $2. No tp in bathroom. Blankets included but not towels. Staff friendly enough. Pickup at bus station free and convenient!

Seriously, $5US for a double bedroom with comfy beds, AC, private bathroom, enough space to workout in the AM, and just blocks from everything happening in Battambang??? You can't beat this. Sure, the place is a bit weird, and it feels like the hostel where travelers just linger for no particular reason, but it offers everything you need for next...

Rooms were fine - no bed bugs as others noted. We were on the second floor - there were some insects in the room but the bed was spotless. Good location and staff were pleasant enough. Nothing special but amazing value for only $5 per night for a fan double room with private bathroom. Perfect for any backpacker on a...

Room looks like a butchers shop. Bugs everywhere! Dirt and cobwebs that have been here since the dinosaurs roamed. Staff unfriendly, Cambodian men lounging around the main entrance all day! No lockers! No room key, room left open all day. Pillows like bricks. Don't book buses via the hotel as charge u a ridiculous amount! Window onto the corridor with...

Chhaya Hotel is the most miserable establishment we stayed in on our travels throughout Cambodia. The issues are as follows: 1. Bed bugs 2. Mold all over the bathroom 3. Cobwebs everywhere 4. Dust that hadn't been removed since it was first constructed 5. Decor which hadn't been changed or fixed since it was built 6. Unfriendly, resentful and unhelpful...

It's a good and cheap hotel. For 5 dollars you can get a double room with TV, own bathroom etc. however the towel didn't look that clean and outside the room there wasn't that clean either. But apart from that it's a really cheap and good hotel, the room was good.

Good enough price but that's the only good thing about the place. The staff were nice at first but as soon as you needed something they got a little rude. The towel that was waiting for me in my room was dirty. One day I had an emergency and asked the front desk to use a phone. All I got...

When I arrived, I was told that there was no record of my booking, but they could squeeze me in as long as I changed rooms twice. There was no hot water, the toilets weren't cleaned and I didn't get a towel or blanket for my bed! It was so noisy that I could barely sleep, you definitely get what...
