The room was a 6 bedroom for women. The lockers were big enough to put a lot of stuff inside, and they can lend a lock if you don't have any. The personnel is very helpful and nice and made our stay a very good one. The breakfast is quite basic with sandwiches, muesli, juice, coffee. They made special only-cheese...

This hostel is ideal for travellers. With free breakfast included and friendly staff you can't ask for better service. Just a stones throw away from the city centre, it is the perfect location. I would recommend this hostel to everyone!

I stayed with a friend and while it wasn't a bad stay...it's just not worth the money. You're paying for the location for sure. Beds are comfy and with personal charging outlets. Enough bathrooms and they are clean. Good kitchen. Friendly staff. Really enjoyed talking to them. Breakfast was nice as well. However the walls seem very thin and sound...

The hostel is very clean and tidy. The breakfast is perfect! But something bad happened during my stay. I was sleeping in the third bed on the bunk bed and in the middle of the night I heard some noises inside the room. I moved to see what was going and I saw two gay boys kissing and one of...

A very regrettable decision to stay in this hostel and it is among the worst hostels we have stayed in on our travels. As a group of young travellers wanting to drink and enjoy ourselves the staff were extremely unfriendly and unwelcoming. They made us feel very uncomfortable and I would not recommend this hostel to anyone

I think the staff in this hostel is amazing. The location is also incredible: close to museums, shopping mall, downtown, bars and clubs, restaurants, there is no way you could ask for more. It is walking distance to a lot of sighseeing places, or very close by subway. The closest subway station is 2 blocks away only. The rooms are...

After I reserved and paid, they told me they didn't have the room I reserved. So I was promissed a private room, for me and my friend. When we arrived to the hostel, they told me that I didn't have a reservation, only my friend, and it was on a shared room. I showed our email exchange and they had...

Hi Alexandre! We were really sad to hear that from you. Already double checked your reservation. Its was made by your friend Marcos Vinicius on the 8 dorm room trough the website booking.com; Apparently, we failed booking only one bed, instead two. We would like to apologize with you and offer one day for free with us. Also, about the...

Don't expect a super confortable place. It's good! Have a professional service and cool accommodations. The breakfast is great. Friday is the happy hour day, so expect some noise and good music, but it ends early, at about midnight.

Staying in Bela Vista

Neighbourhood Profile
Bela Vista
Known for its Italian cantinas, Bela Vista is the place to go for great pasta. Also called “Bixiga”, the area is an important cultural part of the city, with the bohemian and the religious costumes of its inhabitants on full display. In August, the large Nossa Senhora Achiropita party fills the streets with a variety of Italian food and music. You can experience the liveliness of the neighbourhood walking through the antiquities fair at Dom Orione Square or visiting the “Brazilian Caminito”, a version of the Argentinian street complete with colorful buildings. Bela Vista is also home to the traditional samba school “Vai-Vai”. Buy a ticket to a rehearsal and get a taste of what Carnival is like.
