The positive thing about this place is the front desk personal, but the place lack of comfort for guests is noticeable. In my two days stay, the wi-fi was not working in the rooms and all guests complained we had to stay in the lounge...More
Pretty nice and clean hotel. Friendly staff who speak English. Rooms are pretty spacious, air conditioned. But street noise and sound from neighbours could disturb your holiday. Otherwise I could recommend this hotel to stay in SP.
Inexpensive option that is close to the action, clean, and safe. The Hotel Moncloa fits the bill with large rooms and a friendly front desk.
The English-language skills of the staff is decent, but make sure they understand you would prefer a room “far from...More
The first impression I had wasn't so great. The hotel is located on the north branch of Rua Augusta, that's not usually considered the best part of it. There a lot of property closed or misused around with fences and doors covered by writings and...More

Consolação lies between the old historical centre of the city and busy Paulista Avenue. It’s surrounded by the fancy Higienópolis neighbourhood, which makes it a very diverse place. The nightlife along Augusta Street offers visitors a variety of options to dine, dance and be entertained. Roosevelt Square, Consolação's main meeting point, is surrounded by fringe theaters and has become a popular skateboarding area. Right
across the street from the square is the elevated highway known as “Minhocão.” Though it is busy with car traffic all week, it shuts down every weekend and becomes a leisure spot right in the middle of the city.

I found the shuttle bus from the airport to work very well. They dropped me of right at the hotel. On my way back I chose to book a cab at the hotel front desk instead as to get their quicker. The staff was very helpful and the cab ride much faster than if I would have taken the shuttle, as it had several stops at other hotels in its way to the airport.
I would recommend taking the shuttle to the hotel and then ask the hotel staff for recommendation when returning.
As I remember the price difference was rather small, but of course shuttle is a better choice for the environment.

No, there is not any airport pick up. There is an airport to downtown bus that you can take, then a taxi or walk to the hotel. Otherwise, taxi fare. runs almost $100 from the the airport to city center, hotel. Depending on traffic. Best to take the bus and get off at republic square or paulista avenue, then a taxi. Saves a huge amount.
