Staff had no record of our fully paid booking for a twin room and tried to make us pay again, even after we showed them confirmed payment in English and Portuguese. Then we were given a bunk room which smelt so strongly of stale smoke I woke up hanging for a cigar. Dodgy part of town. Not recommended.

Very basic, but my room was clean. Cheap compared to nearby hotels, but the general condition of the place does reflect this - would benefit from redecoration. Good breakfast, most reception staff were friendly and spoke reasonable English. I stayed here for a few days, as it was the cheapest option in the center. I moved because I couldn't get warm and my clothes wouldn't dry. (It was raining in Porto Alegre.)
