Wow from the moment I was picked up at the airport to when I departed Cool Beans B&B I was so impressed! Very friendly and welcoming, wish I could have stayed longer. Great location only two minutes walk to bars, food, ATM and to get a taxi to the beaches. Amazing breakfast - loved the awesome selection of fresh fruit!... More

Let's start with the e-mail communications about the rooms. Their website shows all the rooms by number. You can check them out and request one that sounds the best to you. The response from the owners was quick and detailed. Both owners are Americans living in Rio. We chose #7 with its private terrace and view, plus view of the... More

Casa Cool Beans is a very special place. Rooms are spacious and filled with local artists work. Breakfast was cooked when ordered and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The area was very safe and the bars and restaurants nearby were great.

Well located. Right around the corner from Bar doz Gomez (the most happening place). Easy walk to the shops, bars and restaurants of ST. Big room with plenty of lights and windows. We thoroughly enjoyed our 10 days at Casa Cool Beans. The location is great - 2 minute walk to Bar Gomez, Bonge and 3-4 other great restaurants/bars. If you want to catch the subway - its a ten minute walk (or 12 Real taxi ride) to Gloria Station. It is surrounded by beautiful street art in every direction. Overall we... More

We stayed for the duration of the Paralympics, they take all three medals in service, hospitality, generosity and professionalism, at the same time they treat you as best friends! If they could open other B and Bs in other places we would like to visit, we will only book our stay with them. Obrigada David, Lance, Sergio, Sandra, Marta, Joice,... More

Over the past four decades, we have stayed in all kinds of accommodation on five continents. Without any doubt, the care we received at Casa Cool Beans surpassed them all. David and Anderson (our driver) were particularly helpful, showing genuine concern for our enjoyment and safety. Honestly, we cannot recommend it more highly.

Staying in Santa Teresa

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Teresa
Santa Teresa is a bohemian enclave hosting many local artists’ studios. The narrow, winding streets of this neighbourhood were revitalised years ago, and visitors can now stroll through this area to view magnificent mansions dating back to the late 19th and early 20th century. A highlight not miss: Museu Chacará do Céu, a former mansion turned museum which houses works by prominent Brazilian modern artists.
