We stayed here for 2 nights at the beginning of our Brazil trip for a 'treat' and felt blessed to have found this place. An incredible beautiful space, garden and pool. Our room - the upstairs one - was beautiful, spacious and calm - and had a wonderful evening in the pool, underneath clear starry skies, tropical plants with a...

My wife and I stayed three nights at Casa Beleza in the garden suite. The property was beautiful and our hostess Bindu was wonderful. The suite is a separate building high above the main house. Avoid the garden suite if you are not comfortable climbing a bunch of steep stairs, but for us it was perfect. It was quiet and...

Bindu and her family made our stay amazing... the room was fantastic (love the bathroom products) and Bindu really helped with local restaurants and travel information. We were traveling with our baby and bindu provided everything - cot with sheets, sterilised our bottles, provided food and enabled us to pay for a babysitter while we went out for dinner one...

We stayed at Casa Beleza for the start of our honeymoon. Bindu made us feel at home from day 1, giving us tips on what to do, how to get there and security. Casa Beleza is a really lovely large white house, with a beautiful garden and a small pool. We had a new room at the top of a...

Thanks for your kind review (the title made me laugh!), we were honoured to have you as among our first guests in our new Garden Bungalow!! The small leak is now non-existent thankfully, and many guests have enjoyed the unique tree top views and monkeys visiting them up in the Bungalow! Hope to see you here again sometime!

My husband and I stayed at the Casa Beleza in October, 2011 after reading the many wonderful reviews on Tripadvisor. We weren't disappointed! The location is great - Santa Teresa is a really neat, hip neighborhood. It was just a 5 minute walk down cobblestone streets to many bars and restaurants. The place itself is lovely - what a nice...

Everything here was mana for the body and soul! Eclectic and beautiful accomodation and surroundings. Santa Theresa fairly 'sang' for us :) How lucky were we to be there when the artists open weekend was on - it made roaming Rio's streets an even more exciting adventure!! Bindu and Antoine provided great exploring suggestions and were intelligent, warm and lovely...

Having read other reviews on here I knew this was a place I wanted to stay in Rio. After spending a couple of days in Copacobana, Casa Beleza was very quiet in comparison! The gardens are lovely, and breakfast really delicious. We were also well looked after by the owner who gave us lots of recommendations and arranged a tour...

So, I've been a Marriott/Hilton guy for quite some time, after staying at Casa Beleza, I've without a doubt, considered abandoning the entire chain for a warm and welcoming Bed and Breakfast. First, the view of my bungalow was amazing ... the staff, especially the hosts/owners - were simply amazing. Naturally helpful, warm and without a doubt, the best host...

My wife and I stayed at the Casa Beleza for 5 nights (Aug 2011) and purely enjoyed to stay in a wonderfully decorated, spacious room with a huge private bathroom in this blissful turn of the century villa in lovely Santa Teresa. We loved the morning swims in the little pool in the garden before having rich and varying breakfasts...

Staying in Santa Teresa

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Teresa
Santa Teresa is a bohemian enclave hosting many local artists’ studios. The narrow, winding streets of this neighbourhood were revitalised years ago, and visitors can now stroll through this area to view magnificent mansions dating back to the late 19th and early 20th century. A highlight not miss: Museu Chacará do Céu, a former mansion turned museum which houses works by prominent Brazilian modern artists.
