If you're in Rio, you have to stop by Surf n Stay and book a trip with Vitor. He gave us such a great lesson, we decided to booked him again for additional lessons and paddle boarding sessions. He spent all day showing us around and taking us to the coolest spots in town - definitely going above and beyond...

Rio Surf n Stay is a wonderful place with excellent opportunities for Surfing, hiking, beach hopping and chilling. My cousin and I booked a week here but kept extending it several times. We ended up staying a month! It was our very first time surfing but with the help of our surf teachers, Victor and André, we didn't wanna leave...

Hostel was ok, booked a private room with air cond, but air con only allowed on between 10pm -8am the room was hellishly hot the rest of the time (compared to the outside temp even). Booked a level 2 lesson, 2 hours, not really worth it as got very little coaching or feedback. some of the staff a little too...

Dear Guiller! Thanks for staying with us and giving a chance for us to improve our services. Surf n Stay Rio de Janeiro is located within over 10 surfing spots which gives us a good variety of choices to teach all levels of surfers. For beginners we mainly chose 2 spots as the waves are normally friendly in normal conditions....

We spent 6+ hours looking at all options for surfing in Rio De Janiero. This was the best balance of location, duration and price. We were picked up from the hotel at Copacabana and surfed 1hr away for about 2 hours. This was our first time, both of us are very physically fit, and this was the perfect length of...

Even I didn't have the chance to experience surfing because of the weather, I can say that the guys are really friendly and they suggested me what to do instead nearby their place. Also, it was not a problem for them to return my money paid in advance once with the reservation. Strongly recommend it.

We stayed here for 5 nights. Really nice staff, great beached, good equipment and they organize stuff aswell. It is 40 km outside Rio though, so keep that in mind. We wanted a bit rest. Good opportunity to go to after Ilha Grande. Just make sure a taxi takes you there and you can easily take a bus back to...

Good points: Nothing major, just that our room was pretty small and you cant bring in your own beer. There are also heaps of mosquitos, so come prepared, great communal area to chill out in and meet fellow surfers. Overall impression: Nice little surf hostel set in a secure and peaceful location. We really enjoyed our stay here, and I...
