The advantages/benefits of staying at this hotel are 1. Very close to Ipanema Beach just one block away 2. Safe location 3. Public bus stops in front of the Hotel (thanks to the traffic signal) - direct buses to Copacabana, Cosme Velho (Christ statue train station) and Leblon 4. Good breakfast with lots of varieties. 5. English speaking receptionists with...

Great location - only one block from the beach. Quiet street and really good and safe neighborhood The room was nice and big enough for me, many TV channels and even few in English, good bath, and there is also an IPod dock. The staff were nice and helpful and always there is someone who speaks good English. Breakfast was...

We stayed in the Promenade Visconti in March for 4 nights and found it a great place to stay. We had a room, rather than an apartment, and it was spacious, clean and comfortable. The best thing was the location, right in the middle of Ipanema, one block from the beach and one block from the shops/restaurants. The staff were...

Basic, solid hotel, price probably ok for location and timing, clean, pleasant service and pretty quiet. Best part probably location in central Ipanema, safe, one block from nice spot on beach near Posto 9 where the posh people hang out, able to walk to bars/restos/Leblon.

Before coming to Rio, we were told that Ipanema/Leblon were the best areas to stay. Unfortunately, the selection of hotels in these areas was dismaying -- a couple super high-end options (one of which is undergoing renovations) and otherwise a series of very average looking hotels (nicer boutique options in Santa Teresa). We settled on Promenade Visconti because of its...

The hotel has a super location, and the best option to stay in ipanema. very good rooms, with large and confortable beds (book a twin and ask to assemble; larger that a double). Very good shower. I had the experience of staying in both kinds of rooms. Of course the apartment with the small kitchen is better, but the suite...

Preferring small intimate hotels, preferably with a decent sitting area and some kind of food preparation area, this hotel fitted the bill perfectly. Do ask for a 'suite', not an 'apart', as they call them the opposite to us: an 'apart' is a single room with bathroom and no sitting/kitchen area. Hotel reception staff very friendly & helpful. Small dining...
