The hotel itself is a bit dated and the showers were a bit temperamental, but otherwise a great hotel. Just 2 blocks away from Copacabana beach, and views of the beach and the Christ the Redeemer statue from the roof deck and swimming pool. Breakfast was great. Would definitely stay there again.

A short walk from Copacabana beach, this is a perfect location for those who want both visit the city and relax at the beach. The staff has been really helpful throughout our stay and the service was great. The hotel offers an excellent breakfast with a huge buffet to accommodate everyone's taste. We had a really good size triple room,... More

Spent 8 nights over the Olympics. Friendly staff. Great Location. Clean and comfortable. Convenient Breakfast Buffet. Well priced for Rio. Our room was not among those that had been renovated so found it a bit austere with painful lighting(dark in Bathrooms but glaring in the bedroom). Bring ear plugs as the older A/C units are loud at night

Breakfast is generous and tasty. Rooms are not small and each one is a bit different than others. Ask for the ones that face the back (quieter). The furniture is a little outdated in some rooms, but there is plenty of storage space and the beds are firm and linens and towels are clean and soft

Well located hotel. 10 minute walk to Copacabana beach. Very helpful English speaking reception staff. Good breakfast to start the day. Many restaurants in the area. Booked late so could only get an executive suite which was quite expensive but room was big though dated furniture. Bathroom had a sauna and a hot tub. This could be a very recommendable... More

We were here with a group for 7 nights during the Olympics, and it truly is a three star accommodation. That being said, we were on the back of the hotel and it was quiet, the beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were fine. The A/C was problematic, but the elevators were fairly quick, the breakfast was good, and the... More

Good location just a couple of blocks from Copacabana beach, and friendly staff who were always helpful and cheery during this business trip during the Olympic Games. The hotel has no bar as such but we were served evening beers in the basement breakfast area. The breakfast itself was a great start to the day with variety in the hot... More

Always a little booking a hotel in a country you have never visited but we could not have been more pleased. The staff speaks fluent English and is very helpful with suggestions and reservations. Only a few blocks from Copacabana Beach. Prices were high but to be expected with all the Olympic tourist in town.

I stayed in this hotel for 9 nights and my experience would be slightly difference if management would have different approach to customers. I will start with things which are decent. Location is fairly nice with 5 minutes walking distance to the Copacabana beach. At night is fairly safe but most of the time I used Uber to get around.... More

Staying in Copacabana

Neighbourhood Profile
Copacabana
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
