Hotelinho is a terrific option for a pleasant stay in the marvelous city. Located in Urca, the safest and calmest neighborhood in Rio, close to the city's main hotspots. Public transportation at front door to everywhere. Supermarkets, drugstore, bars and restaurantes nearby. Walking distance to the sugarloaf and a huge shopping mall. Amazing hospitality from Andreas and the whole team....

Hotelinho is located in the charming suburb of Urca, right at the foot of Sugarloaf Mountain. It's civilised, very safe and offers picturesque views over the bay. Hotelinho is a small establishment of rooms run by expatriate German, Andreas. It offers a variety of different room types - some with kitchenettes, others with living areas and some smaller options as...

Small hotel located right below the sugar loaf in Urca. We had a family room, quite large with average beds. Decoration would need some refresh. But what is really an issue is the noise that is caused by the bar just downstairs where people have their drinks outside just below the room... No sleep at least until 11.30pm... The staff...

Good Morning Fabrice thanks a lot for taking your time to write your impressions about your stay at Hotelinho. I deeply apologize the disturbing noice from the bar. The good news for all our future guests is, that we changed our windows and put anti-acoustic windowpanes, which usualy are made for airports, means you hardly hear nothing more. A part...

We had a large group of 10 plus people stay here for a wedding. The staff was incredible and accommodating. There isn't a hotel in Rio that will beat the view from the rooftop of Hotelinho. Walking distance or a short Uber ride to a lot of great attractions and restaurants. Highly recommend the Hotelinho.

We stayed in the Hotelinho Urca for 7 nights. The staff spoke multiple languages and was willing to do whatever it took to make our trip the best experience possible. The view from the top patio is second to none in Rio. On clear nights you can see ther Christo lighting up the harbor below. Also, the corner was a...

We stayed two nights at Hotelinho Urca. All rooms were decorated differently with great taste, we had a room on the terrace which was specious and clean. The terrace has a stunning view over the marina and in the distance you can see Christ the Redeemer. We can definitely recommend the breakfast of Hotelinho Urca. Lots of home made jams,...

A lovely warm welcome from the manager andreas. I would recommend staying in urca as it is away from the busy cocacabana area. The outstanding thing about this hotel is the view! Sitting on the terrace looking at christ the redeemer and the harbour. The door to the hotel could be better signed. Easy access to local transport.

Staying in Urca

Neighbourhood Profile
Urca
Urca is one of the oldest areas in Rio. Known for its incredible views of the city, the neighbourhood runs along Guanabara bay, providing visitors with an opportunity to watch the sunset from one of Rio’s greatest natural treasures: Sugarloaf Mountain (Pao de Acucar). It is said that the locals in Urca are “bon vivant,” which is one of the reasons the area attracts people of all styles and ages. Urca is the perfect place to take a stroll and appreciate the area’s beautiful architecture, enjoy a cocktail and some delicious seafood pastries at a bar, or bring a bottle of wine and enjoy it while sitting anywhere along the stone seawall known as the “mureta.”
