Room was clean. However the area is very noisy even with the windows closed, so dont expect a decent nights sleep. The reception staff were extremely helpful, with perfect English. Didnt use the swimming pool. Breakfast is fine, just don't expect a decent cup of tea! The lift does work, once you get used to the numbering system. Wifi in... More

I stayed here for work during the beginning of the Games and had no choice in where I stayed. It was clean but very small. The bathroom was even tinier - I am a small person and couldn't walk face forward from the sink to the shower (had to shimmy). The elevators were permanently in disrepair - a colleague spent... The Ibiza copacabana is no frills but a decent option for the price. Air con is noisy but beds are clean and the desk staff are friendly. The swimming pool is tiny and more like a bath you will not be able to swim in it but it is good to chill after a hot day. Breakfast is very average... More

The hotel seemed to be under maintenance while we stayed there, but that dident bother us. The front desk did speak perfect english and helped us arrenge some tours. The rooms was clean. Internet was almost non-existant, unless you stand on some random sports in the room ;p. It did work good in the lobby. Overall a average hotel, with... More

First let me say that the standard for hotels in Rio is about a star below the standards in the USA and Europe. Hotel rooms in Rio tend to be small, plain and generally uninspired. With that said, the Ibiza actually exceeded my expectations. The room was clean. The lobby was simple, but did have a bar area, unlike many... More

We were here for 3 Nights. We wanted a family room or a room for 2 adults 2 children (age 10,12). The rooms were to small to fit extra beds. The staff was friendly and set us up with the Suite the last nite, which was about the same price as a doubleroom. 2 blocks from the beach and close... More

Hotel needs a revamp, a bit dated interior, hotel is comfortable for a nights sleep. Not so friendly service at the front desk. Breakfast was OK, Parking was a problem as we had our own car. I would not recommend this hotel unless your forced to take it

The taxi driver recommended this hotel to us. The location is good. There was a nice breakfast in the morning. What we didn't like: room was small, the bed took up most of it, the bathroom was one of the tightest enclosed spaces I've ever encountered in a hotel. Overall just okay buy I wouldn't repeat.

The hotel's service is one of the worst I have ever stayed in. I had a room on the 6th floor and the noise from the air conditioner could wake up the beach bums sleeping two streets down. The linen on arrival was blood stained, on going downstairs as when I tried to call reception there was no answer, I... More

Staying in Copacabana

Neighbourhood Profile
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
