We were in Rio for the Rio Carnaval and stayed at Inia's for 6 nights. We were a group of 5 and rented out all 3 rooms. Inia was a gem, great sense of humour. She was helpful and gave great tips for Rio. The breakfast provided was excellent too. The b and b was also situated in a good...

My boyfriend and I stayed with Inia for three nights. She runs the ideal bed and breakfast. There are two rooms to rent. The apartment building is very clean, safe and upscale with a beautiful entry way. The apartment is warm, cozy, and charming. Even the bathrooms are super clean and lovely too. The rooms are beyond comfortable and the...

We had a great stay, the location could not have been any better (slap in between Ipanema and Copacabana). Inia was a great hostess giving us a wealth of information about activities and where to visit all in her own imitable style which was great. Her breakfast was wonderful lots of fresh fruits, eggs, ham, cheese, breads and homemade cake...

This B&B is essentially a one-woman show. Inia is a lovely hostess and will happily try to arrange any activities you're interested in. But when things get busy, you may have to wait quite a bit while she helps other guests or is away from the apartment. Internet access is available using a computer in the apartment and there are...

Great location! We could easily walk to Ipanema or Copacabana beaches in minutes. Restaurant, clubs, museums are also walking distance or short cab ride away. Our room was clean and the ocean view was slighly obstructed but pretty awesome. The rooftop pool had a great views and was nice day and night. The jacuzzi wasnt hot but it was nice...

We spent 4 nights at arpoador and must say we enjoyed our stay. The location is simply the best and being at the end of our holiday we lazed on arpoador and ipanema beach enjoying the waves and talent on display whil'st we lazed like lounge lizards under our umbrella. Inia is a gracious hostess and always helpful with travel...

I had a double bedroom at the 11th floor (top floor). The room itself was nice. Even parts of the Ipanema beach could be seen from the window. The bed was too short for me, my feet were sticking out of the bed. The bed must have been around 190cm. But may be I should have asked to be dislocated...

I spent lovely days in B&B Arpoador. It's in a great position, between Copacabana and Ipanema, so everyday you have multiple choises on how spend your time. Inia is a very nice lady, who can help and advise you for everything you need to do. If I'll go back to Rio, Arpoador is the place! Ascanio. Rome.

We stayed at this hotel on the first nights of our trip around South America and it was pretty much OK - nothing special. The room was a bit dingy and the air con was really noisy, a bit like sharing a room with a helicopter. It is a handy location though, near Ipanema and Copacabana and good for wandering...

Staying in Copacabana

Neighbourhood Profile
Copacabana
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
