This is a great place to stay when visiting Petropolis. Walking distance from Santos Dummond house and Cervejaria Bohemia. Rooms are spacious and bright with big windows with fresh air. A delicious home-made breakfast is served everyday. Definitely a perfect stay.

I've stayed here for over a month and have learned to really like the location. The staff are very nice - great breakfast, comfortable room, English speaking at the front desk, near the University and Petropolis attractions. A fast Taxi ride to Trono de Fatima sculpture by the creator of Christo in Rio. Favorite restaurants nearby - Paladar 3 course...

A nice and pleasant place to stay when you need or want to visit Petropolis. Known as the "Imperial City" in Brazil, Petropolis is a small city but has a lot of nice places to visit, like historical spots (Imperial Museum, Sao Pedro Cathedral and The Cristal Palace) and shopping (the famous Teresa Street). Pousada Magister is a cozy, nice...

“The main-old building is historical. And possibly a little haunted near that office door that opens on it's own when you walk across the wooden flloor, if you like that kind of excitement. I sense its a good spirit though and there to help. Dumont stayed there in the day, so you can be the next famous guest. Downstairs breakfast room has a very unique spiritual auroa and you get visions of Mary there after visiting the Fatima statue for some reason. Covered parking. Very quaint. Glad I stayed there and returning very soon.”
