Spent a weekend at Paraty, Pousada Parideiro has a great location, within the historic center. Inner courtyard is magical, public spaces elegantly done, so lovely. Had a choice of several rooms, some were bettter than others. We had a nice king bed, private, room #9. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

The rooms are simple, but the rustic style is a charm of this hotel. It is located in the historical center of Paraty, perfect for go out at night. The pool is quiet and relaxing. The price is very honest for what you are paying (what sometimes is rare at Brazil)!

Well located, with beautiful grounds and hidden gems of outbuildings. What let it down for me were the dark rooms with poor dismal lighting. Mosquito netting at the windows was torn so got bitten multiple times. Above all was the poor attitude of the breakfast/bar guys (mentioned before here) not at all helpful or friendly. This place could do with...

Located in the centre of the historic old town of Paraty, the Pousada Pardieiro is tucked away down a little side street, and is hidden away behind a plain looking doorway in a wall. However, once you step inside the doorway you enter a lush, hidden oasis. The Pousada is really delightful, with open-plan areas and beautiful tropical gardens. The...

We stayed here for 3 nights -wish it were longer. We would agree with all the posts - don`t be put off by the approach - it is gorgeous inside. Room good, but it was the whole Pousada that was so very nice. Lots of room, lovely pool, beautiful gardens, and numerous open lounges all individually furnished with antiques and...

Our pousada (or guest house) was beautiful. At first we were a bit worried as the cab dropped us off down this dark street that looked a bit scary -- but then when we open the door to the pousada it was an amazing oasis of lush vegetation, orchids, squirrel monkeys and humming birds. It was almost like a small...

Do not be put off by the rather low key approach to this pousada... do not run when you stumble over the enormous cobble stones, do not choke on the slightly pongy aroma in the street outside...but take that final tired step into the reception and through into the pousada itself. The rooms are arranged around a delightful courtyard that...

Great location, calm, clean and well maintained rooms & other facilities. Nice gardens. Parking area could be larger since I imagine all guests use it. I certainly will consider Pousada Pardieiro in my next trip.

We´ve been there before, during and after FLIP, the Paraty International Fest of Literature, that occured in the first days of this month, july. Well, the hotel is very good, the room was fantastic and the breakfast was also very good. Mrs.Vania and mr.Arnaldo are very pleasant and helpful. The main problem that I said last year, remains the same.....

We were here in the off season on weekdays so only a couple of rooms were booked. We had good service from everyone. The place was quiet and lovely. Rooms were very nice and not overly decorated. Breakfast was fine although it took a while to get coffee and we had to ask for refills. The one concern that I...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Pousada Pardieiro activities began in 1968 with the purchase of a house in Tenente Francisco Antônio Street 72, where he worked on a small pension in precarious condition, a old house in disrepair. Hence the origin of the name, which continues today to mark the contrast of its evolution over the years. The founding members were the actor Paulo Autran and the lawyer Fabio Vilaboim Carvalho, attracted by the peace, tranquility and beauty of Paraty. Other properties were acquired and adapted to the Inn with the authorization and monitoring of IPHAN (National Institute of Historical and Artistic Heritage).Today, with 27 apartments, stands out as a typical hotel project in the kinds fits in harmoniously historical context of the old town itself, without breaking the local architectural standards and in full harmony with the landscape bathed by the sea and surrounded by tropical vegetation of the Atlantic region. ... more   less
