This is a very beautiful restaurant about 30 mins outside of paraty (N). The owners are french/brazilian. We went for late lunch after a long morning on the beach. After swimming and sliding around in the waterfall we had a very good lunch in the restaurant. The gardens are beautiful and there is the option of a swimming pool if...

My wife and I stayed at the inn when our reservation elsewhere was unexpectedly cancelled. The owners Olivier and Valeria are wonderful and welcoming. It is a beautiful place. We stayed in suite 2. It was beautifully painted in green and Aqua. The room, being in a jungle environment was always moist/ damp from the humidity. We didn't have a...

The place is very beautiful, away from the city and into the woods, and very well maintained. The rooms (2 suites, 2 lofts and 1 bungalow) are located into the woods, near a stream with a small waterfall. From the room one can listen to the running water all day long. the tap water is potable, straight from the springs,...

Overall over-priced and disappointing. We stayed in the suite room which was tiny, very damp and very dark with no natural light all day and with 2 small light bulbs that didn't light the room. The cushions and throw were dirty and smelt and felt damp. The window didn't shut properly and there were no mosquito nets so we got...

We found this place just looking in a local guide book. We decided to stay here for a few days as it looked really different and interesting. The owners were brilliant and very welcoming, they escorted us to our cabin which was very basic and rustic inside, we stayed in the cheaper option but it was clean and well kept....

We have stopped here when traveling around Brazil in November and it was such a pleasant surprised. Thanks to Lonely Planet and our curious nature, we ventured off the beaten path and found this place. Its a true paradise, you will not want more. The owner is french, he cooks himself in the restaurant (which actually looks more like his...

We arrived at 2 a.m. It was dark and we couldn't see a thing. The nightguard led us to the room (no. 4) and how pleasant was our surprise. A lovely suite tastefully decorated with a huge bathtub. But in the morning when we woke up - wow!! It is amazingly situated on a river with many waterfalls. The view...

Where to start? The rooms are gorgeous, the food amazing, and the ambiance is spectacular. I was lucky enough to have friends recommend this place to me. I promise you that your trip to Le Gite will be an experience you will not soon forget.

We stayed 2 nights here recently. I wanted to experience the rainforest, but boy did it rain.... The owners were away & the acclaimed restaurant was shut. We knew this & had arrangements to eat next door at Pousada Las Bromelias. The room was lovely.Absolutely recommend you book Loft 2. Best position overlooking the falls. The setting is lovely &...

“You can choose rooms closer to the waterfall or closer to the main house (where are the library and the main balcony and where meals are served), which I'd better reccomend for elderly. Consider that.”
