Absolutely fantastic pousada! All of the staff are very accommodating. The location is perfect - very close to the center town, but enough away so you don't hear noise. The breakfast and afternoon tea are wonderful. The rooms are spacious and always impeccably clean! And the best part - the owner, Rennie, provides a book in every room with recommendations...

We visited the island for 5 days and it just wouldn't have been the same without staying at the Aratinga Inn. Rennie has created a tranquil and beautiful retreat that gives you that real tropical island gateaway sensation. Every one of the team does a fantastic job, is very friendly, and nothing is ever a problem. Breakfast and afternoon tea...

Thank you so much for taking the time to let us know that you enjoyed your stay with us. Aratinga is a calm and peaceful oasis but, surprisingly, we are just a few minutes walk away from the hustle and the bustle of the village. I will let the staff know that you enjoyed the breakfast and the afternoon teas!...

After originally planning to only spend 2 nights at Aratinga Inn, it took about 5 minutes for us to decide we needed to stay an extra night. The staff were exceptionally helpful from the offset, extending breakfast for us and giving great recommendations for the island. I'm so pleased that you felt at home with us at Aratinga and that all the staff looked after you well. Ilha Grande is a beautiful, natural paradise but it must not be forgotten, it IS an island.
